Uruguayan clubs: Bigua and Defensor

GO BIGUA and DEFENSOR!!!

Hopefully, these clubs can do well and show the Latin American basketball world that Uruguayan clubs are here to stay!!!

Good call by moving the Liga Sudamericana to October and November, in my opinion, although having the Americas' League around really takes some value off it. And i don't know how much of a benefit it represents for those clubs that play in both leagues.

Sionista - 93
Libertad - 68

Sionista prevailed against Libertad to stay undefeated. Daniel Hure (200-F-85) and Leandro Masieri stepped up with 16 points each to lead Sionista. Carlos Dixon and Javier Martinez knocked down 13 points apiece in the win. Victor Ozuna responded with 20 points in the second loss for Libertad.

Round 3 from Group A.

Sionista wins Group A

I can't even begin to say how odd is that, in a game featuring Chickie Robinson, Luis Cequeira, Alex García, Guilherme and Valtinho, the main scorer ended up being DANIEL HURE!!!!

Libertad Sunchales - 92
Biguá - 68

Libertad Sunchales crushed Biguá of Uruguay by the score of 92-68 to start Group B action of the South American League for Men's Clubs played in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Cleotis Brown had 28 points, Rubén Wolkowyski 20 and Laron Profit 18 for the Argentineans. Andrés Pelussi grabbed 15 rebounds and Sebastian Ginobili dished 7 assists to help the winners.

The game was close in the first five minutes, but Libertad made a 15-0 run and finished the first quarter up 27-11.

In the second half Bigua had a brief reaction but couldn't maintain it thanks to their lack of effectiveness from long range.

And Sionista got the third place by beating Minas 72-70. SF Leonardo Masieri scored 15 points (5/7 threes) in 17 minutes. And this game also completed the dominance of Argentine clubs for this edition: no Argentine team lost any game against a non-Argentine team.
