Is anybody interested in signing up for another IBN Fantasy League? I certainly am. Anybody else? Should I set up a league for us?
I thought so too, but I couldn't find it.ArkadiosV2 said:I think someone else already did, if i remember correctly. Maybe not...
That's what I remember. Thanks, Rick.rikhardur said:You guys mean this?
That's a pretty good frontline. Are you starting Scola over Dirk?ArkadiosV2 said:PF: Luis Scola, Dirk Nowtzki, Darko Milicic
C: Tim Duncan, Andris Biedrins
Here are a few rules, cut and pasted:I don't know how the system works, nor why i got so many good players, anyone willing to explain the rules?
Basically, you just click-and-drag your players on the roster to create a line-up for each night, depending on who is playing. But you can only put a player in any spot (PF, SF, F, PG, etc) 82 times during the season.Your goal is to get the best lineup on the floor every day, since the better your players perform in real-life games, the more value they bring to your fantasy team.
In a Rotisserie League, fantasy teams are ranked from first to last in each of several statistical categories. Points are then awarded according to the order of finish in each category and are totaled to determine an overall score and place.
So, if you're in a 12-team league, the team with the most goals scored receives 12 points, the team with the second most receives 11 points, and so on. In the case of a tie, each team involved receives an average of the total points due. So, in the above example, if two teams were tied for first in assists, each would receive 11.5 points [(12 + 11) / 2 = 11.5].
In this league, each position on your roster can accumulate a maximum of 82 games worth of stats. When any roster position (the sum of all players used in that position) reaches the 82-game plateau, stats are no longer accumulated at that position.
There are no play-offs. Once the play-offs begin, the Fantasy League ends.ArkadiosV2 said:82 Games? including the Playoffs?
So let's say i was to use Nowitzki. And i use him in all 82 games of regular season (if he plays in all), can not i use him in the playoffs? (Is there even a fantasy during the playoffs? (Because it stops in Euroleague fantasy for example).
So if it goes all the way i must seek to distribute games correctly and save let's say 15 games for the playoffs?
You can play 10 players per day. You get the 3 Guards, 3 forwards, 10 centers, plus 2 "utility" players (I guess "utility is like miscellaneous). "BN" means "bench," players that are in street clothes and don't have their shoes on--your worst players obviously. How many players are in the lineup? 5? 8?
What does 'Util' mean? 'BN?
Yes, you're right that you can play Duncan in your PF spot today and then switch to have Dirk in your PF spot tomorrow. If you do that, you'll end losing a lot of those 82 games for each position/spot quickly. You can put Duncan in your PF spot and Dirk in your F spot, and just leave them like that all week. (That's what I do. Personally, I rarely change my line-up. I just put my worst players on the bench and wait for one of my "starters" to get injured).Must i change the lineup daily? If Dallas plays today and Spurs play tomorrow i can use Nowitzki today and Duncan tomorrow for example?
Hmmm....how about Ray Allen or Antawn Jamison for AK47?My trade offer to mvblair:
I'll give you AK47 + Darko Milicic for Boozer

Interesting... again, it means i must distribute my games evenly and smartly...Well, when you say it like that it sounds easy.![]()
