I don't know if it's too early to be making these predictions or not but here are mine anyway:
East
Starters:
F LeBron James - CLE
F Vince Carter - NJ
C Shaquille O'Neal - MIA
G Allen Iverson - PHI
G Dwayne Wade - MIA

Bench:
F Chris Bosh - TOR
F Ben Wallace - CHI
C Dwight Howard - ORL
G Chauncy Billups - DET
G Michael Redd - MIL
G Gilbert Arenas - WAS
G/F Joe Johnson - ATL

WEST
Starters
F Dirk Nowitzki - DAL
F Tim Duncan - SA
C Yao Ming - HOU
G Steve Nash - PHO
G Kobe Bryant - LAL

bench
F Carmelo Anthony - DEN
F Kevin Garnett - MIN
F/C Carlos Boozer - UTA
G Tony Parker - SA
G Ray Allen - SEA
F Zach Randolph - POR
G Chris Paul - NOK

Not a bad list, but who knew the Utah Jazz, Orlando Magic, Lakers and the Golden State Warriors would be doing so well and that Shaq, the Heat, Wizards, and the Bulls would fumble so early on? Still I think you got a good 80% correct...

East Starters
F LeBron James - CLE
F Paul Pierce - NJ
C Dwight Howard - ORL
G Allen Iverson - PHI
G Dwayne Wade - MIA

Bench:
F Chris Bosh - TOR
F Vince Carter - NJN
C Jermaine O'Neal - ORL
G Chauncy Billups - DET
G Michael Redd - MIL
G Rip Hamilton - WAS
G/F Joe Johnson - ATL

WEST
Starters
F Dirk Nowitzki - DAL
F Tim Duncan - SA
C Yao Ming - HOU
G Tony Parker- PHO
G Kobe Bryant - LAL

bench
F Carmelo Anthony - DEN
F Tracy McGrady - HOU
F/C Carlos Boozer - UTA
G Steve Nash - PHX
G Doron Williams - UTA
F Andris Biedrins - GSW
G Chris Paul - NOK

Hey it isn't a fluke, Biedrins is playing well and has been the most consistent warrior in the last 9 games, he has averaged 14.1ppg, 12.6 rebounds and 3.2 blocks on 62.5% shooting. Its a shame that the East gets 12 players this year and players like Kevin Martin, Ray Allen, Zach Randolph, Kevin Garnett, and Lamar Odom have to sit it out (according to my all-star list).

After the first returns the starters look like this:
East:
F LeBron James
F Chris Bosh
C Shaquille O'Neal
G Allen Iverson
G Dwayne Wade

West:
F Kevin Garnett
F Tim Duncan
C Yao Ming
G Tracy McGrady
G Kobe Bryant

What happens if Iverson is traded 2 a western team?Does he still play 4 the east although he is in a westen team?Or do his votes count 4 the west although he was compared 2 eastern guards?

Well of course, he wouldn't be playing for the East. He would probably be dropped from the game alltogether unless the West coaches need to fill a reserve spot, due to injury, etc.

Well it looks like Michael Redd won't be back in time for the all-star game and Iverson is eligible to play in the game for the West, he's currently 3rd in west voting among guards. If he doesn't crack the starting 5 he'll be a reserve:
Here's how I think it will look:
East
Starters
F LeBron James
F Chris Bosh
C Shaquille O'Neal (he's back practicing)
G Dwayne Wade
G Vince Carter
bench
G/F Joe Johnson
F Ben Wallace
C Dwight Howard
G Rip Hamilton
G Gilbert Arenas
WC Jermaine O'Neal
WC Luol Deng or Ben Gordon (too tough to chose between those two)

West
Starters
F Kevin Garnett
F Tim Duncan
C Amare Stoudemire (Don't expect Yao to make it back in time)
G Tracy McGrady
G Kobe Bryant
bench:
F Dirk Nowitzki
F Josh Howard
F/C Carlos Boozer
G Steve Nash
G Allen Iverson
WC Ray Allen
WC Shawn Marion

I think Carmelo cost himself the all-star game with his actions in the brawl.

Response

Paul Pierce will probably be hurt until after the all-star break, so i'm BUMMED he won't be on his sixth squad in a row. Here's how i see it goin, though

EAST STARTERS:

F - Chris Bosh
F - Lebron James
C - Shaquille O'Neal
G - Gilbert Arenas
G - Dwyane Wade

RESERVES:
F - Jermaine O'Neal
F - Caron Butler
G/F - Vince Carter
F/C - Dwight Howard
G - Michael Redd
G - Chauncey Billups
G - Jason Kidd

WEST STARTERS:
F - Tim Duncan
F - Kevin Garnett
C - Yao Ming
G - Kobe Bryant
G - Allen Iverson

RESERVES:
F - Dirk Nowitzki
F - Carmelo Anthony
F - Carlos Boozer
C - Amare Stoudemire
G - Steve Nash
G - Tracy Mcgrady
G - Chris Paul
(Yao injury replacement) - Ray Allen

I'm absolutely SHOCKED that nobody has Chris Paul on their team, although i don't klnow if he's still hurt right now or not. I'm also shocked that i don't see J-Kidd on a team. I added Caron Butler 'cause Pierce is out with an injury until after the break, but i'm not happy about it

Redd is hurt and will probably be out until after the all-star break.

^^^^agreed^^^^^but i also think amare stoudemire will start at center...

Nearly two-months later and a couple of my predictions look dumb. Anyways, heres the revised picks

East Starters

F LeBron James - CLE
F Vince Carter - NJ
C Shaquille O'Neal - MIA
G Gilbert Arenas - PHI
G Dwayne Wade - MIA

Bench:
F Chris Bosh - TOR
F/C Dwight Howard - ORL
F Jermaine O'Neal - IND
G Jason Kidd - NJ
G Michael Redd - MIL
G Rip Hamilton - WAS
G/F Luol Deng/Ben Gordon - CHI

Shaq shouldn't be there but will be voted in. With Michael Redd missing, look for either Ben Gordon/Luol Deng or Chauncey Billups to replace him.

WEST
Starters
F Dirk Nowitzki - DAL
F Tim Duncan - SA
C Yao Ming - HOU
G Steve Nash - PHO
G Kobe Bryant - LAL

bench
F Josh Howard - DEN
F Tracy McGrady - HOU
F/C Carlos Boozer - UTA
G Tony Parker - PHX
G Doron Williams - UTA
F Kevin Garnett - Minn
F Shawn Marion - Phx

Look for Amare to replace the injured Yao, and it's too bad that Carmelo is an idiot or this would have been the year that he finally made the All-Star team --- unless he is voted in. I think there's a slim chance that either Ray Allen, Manu or Memo will make the team.

Just a question - Why would the coaches bother to select Redd when they already know he's hurt and will most likely be out past all-star weekend? If they had selected him and got hurt afterwards, that's a different matter.

The Starters have been announced:

East:

F - Lebron James
F - Chris Bosh
C - Shaquille O'Neal
G - Dwyane Wade
G - Gilbert Arenas

Coach: TBD

West:

F - Kevin Garnett
F - Tim Duncan
C - Yao Ming
G - Kobe Bryant
G - Tracy McGrady

Coach: Mike D'Antoni

No Dirk, no Nash...

I'm just going by whom deserves the selection, though they're injured, they deserved to be named nevertheless. It's like wasting a vote because you know they won't be able to participate, but for the player, it's good for their resume and historical purposes.

and no PG for the West... the NBA system is really strange, and the Chinese too numerous as Battier got many votes.

The players for the rookies vs sophomores game were anounced:

Scratch Carlos Boozer from the list. He's out for a month or more with a hairline fracture of the fibula.

The reserves have been named:
East
G Vince Carter
G Jason Kidd
C Dwight Howard
F Caron Butler
F Jermaine O'Neal
G Chauncy Billups
G Richard Hamilton

West
G Steve Nash
G Allen Iverson
C Amare Stoudemire
F Dirk Nowitzki
F Carlos Boozer (injured-will not play)
G Tony Parker
F Shawn Marion

There are two injury replacement spots still open. Notice the coaches didn't vote Melo in.

Notable snubs:
East
Ben Gordon
Joe Johnson - yeah I know the Hawks stink, but Joe Cool is averaging 25 PPG

West
Carmelo Anthony - suspension obviously cost him
Josh Howard - only one Mav on the All-Star team?

David Stern chooses the replacements. Will he forgive Carmelo?

I think he will, but two Nuggets (22-20) in this all-star would be an interesting situation. Parker got it due to positional considerations I guess. Otherwise it's a crime that J. Howard is left outside.

There's also a slight possibility that Stern would include Okur as a replacement of his team-mate, Boozer.

I think Memo Okur deserves to replace Boozer and represent Utah at the game, however, it's tough to pick Okur over Josh Howard who is playing awesome for the Nuggets and Carmelo, whom is having a fantastic year statistically. I think it would be a great message to Carmelo by selecting Okur and Howard. Also hate leaving Ginobili off the team, I think he is just as crucial as Tony Parker.

In the east, it's tough to leave off all the Bulls since they're performing so well lately - I think voters were probably torn between Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and to a lesser extent, because he hasn't been playing as well as he was earlier in the season, Kirk Hinrich.
