It's going to be hard to get people to forget how SMC treated our NT for the last decade. Or how they maneuvered into getting the PBA's top players.

Here is the quote from Chot, “Remember that group that you had, we would have loved for them to be here, but unfortunately, circumstances either of their own doing or not have prevented them from being here. But there are guys that we would have loved to be here,”​

He did not say outright that it was Balti's camp who didn't want to join, so Chot wasn't lying. So if we take this and what Balti and Delta said, somebody from the other camp prevented them from joining. I don't think its SBP. It's probably TC's boss Alfrancis. This is why I want TC to put his money where his mouth is and invite Balti out right. But I don't think he can because its his boss who doesn't want to.
 
Another thing to remember, Chot did say that certain players backed out since they didnt want to compete for slots and wanted guarantees. Maybe Balti was one of those guys.

Luck increases when a person does all they can to prepare. Japan’s development system can’t be denied at this point when they’ve managed to produce results. They will continue to be “lucky” if their development system continues to improve.

Not a his decision to make he's just the face and employee the tyrant gets to make that decision and even the composition of his team,I would say he probably have 50% input and it still has to have a decision from the tyrant.

I doubt this. Cone should have a bigger say. Longhair can be higher in level but Cone demands a different kind of respect.
 
We hate Longhair with what he said to Tab.

We also hate it how they sabotaged the PBA

But he has connections in both UAAP, NCAA and others. Maybe thru his watch we can finally have a cohesive schedule, a true Seniors, Juniors level.

3 straight championships for Letran, championship after championship in the PBA, and Tim Cone said and that Long hair is a doer and can make the Gilas program improve leaps and bounds.

In the end, thats all we want...we want to win. We can forgive him if he can really make us win. Winning is all that matters and if his attitude is win at all cost....we must welcome this with open arms.

people hate longhair because he is effective and successful - all the teams he has handled has won

people also go for the seeming underdog even if the underdog has proven nothing, they'll also double down on the underdog if they hate a successful person .... like longhair

how i really wish chua and cone take this gilas team to the asiad finals just so that the haters here will shup the **** up once and for all.
 
If Longhair can find a way to give Philippine passports to all our Foreign prospects before they turn 16, he might just be our savior.

Don't really care if they will be funnelled to UST at this point.
 
Japan sticking with its focus on player development and long preparation. Only one player from their world cup squad, while the rest are young prospects. And the team has been practicing for the Asian Games since June.

We'll see in a couple of years how Taiwan will fare using a similar strategy (albeit with a much smaller population).

Meanwhile, in another part of Asia...people can't figure out whether a player got a phone call or not.

fiba rules really doesn't favor us compared to european, middle east & american nations. our immigration laws prevents us from naturalizing or giving citizenships to foreigners under 16 yrs old

good karma also, building BLeague from the ground up, providing opportunities for players and coaches from around the world. Arguably the best and most well-rounded league in Asia right now.

He's effective,cause he can stack the deck on his side,now lets see,if MVP will retaliate and did what Long Hair and SMC did to him too.Let's see how he will feel when he starts failing and the Boo Birds boo him everytime they show his face up the screen,will his ego handle it or will he crack and have a meltdown with the press.Let's not forget he hates the overseas Pinoy,if he's really bold about it,he should ban the overseas Pinoy for participating in GIlas and just have an all PBA lineup for years to come.
