I think those people they asked is from the 37 man pool pass by SBP, but the thing is we can’t point Kai Sotto here in that list since he is already in Japan and he can’t join Asian Games already.. it’s not Clarkson either since he is in the NBA… Mikey Williams? Hhmmmm!!! Not so sure but possible… Baltazar? Maybe but issue between SBP and Balti’s manager still have a beef in each other, So guarantee pass… People should understand that no one play for free already… and I’m not believing on Al Chua’s remarks that they are play for free.. for sure they also payed here to play, just only smaller amount compare those big names… the reason why some NBA players doesn’t want to play for national teams because it is risky to play that injuries will happen anytime w/o guarantee….

unlikely that its JC since the NBA training camp has started. a person who has the history of asking for the moon is likely mikey williams.

wait. so he is asking for a pay bigger than JC? i did recall that brownlee did not ask for pay based on what was mentioned by Chua in the presscon.

Most likely in the 60 man list. Actually they even include players who are not in the list like Calvin to practice. As they though like Indo Asia Games its not an issue to change players last minute. So even people outside of the list could have these demands.

Could be B.League players, KBL players, PBA players. And this could be happening even in WC and qualifiers.

When AJ Edu got hurt playing for Gilas, I wonder what sort of help, money or assistance we gave him. It derailed his D1 college career, and perhaps his chance for the nba. It is only now that he is fully recovered, but he's not the same.

We're always calling for these athletes to be patriotic. How about when athletes are injured or when they are already old, forgotten and useless...are our officials patriotic towards them? So many old boxers dying without decent medical care.

For me when you're an athlete, always get that bag when you can.

That's the least they could do, hopefully they followed through on that promise and more.

But more than that, if you're Edu's parents do you honestly think that's enough? Good thing he comes from a well-off family. Like I mentioned, it derailed his D1 career and arguably cost him a shot at the nba. You can't quantify that.

Yes life happens. Most especially for athletes, injuries can end careers in the blink of an eye...so always go for that bag when you can. No one else cares about your life more than you.

Jerom Lastimosa is another one. School loyalty over pro offers. Now he's being forced to play on a bum knee, at least they retired his jersey.
