Biyernes Santo yung mga pagmumukha ng mga Chinese players sa awarding hahaha

We will remember this day, If we host another international tournament, either mens or womens side, We will boo China every games... Rumors that Philippines will host 2025 FIBA Asia womens cup... We will support Japan than China... Never in my lifetime i will support any Chinese teams... NEVER!!!!!

didn't know RHJ has suspect 3s though lol he got exposed

His perimeter game is really spotty even when he was with TNT. The only reason they survived Ginebra was because of Castro and Mikey Williams. RHJ's a versatile defender who can guard positions 1-5 and can also facilitate, but he isn't a go-to scorer like Brownlee. RHJ was just having a historic offensive game in the World Cup, but the law of averages eventually caught up with him in the Asian games.

I hope this marks the beginning of our dominance in the Asian Games, as the rules here are not as stringent as those of FIBA when it comes to the dual citizenship status of some of our top players. The next Asian Games will be in Japan, and it's a chance for our next gen of fil-for players to showcase their talents there. A dynasty is in the making.

This team is fun to watch we relies mostly on defense unlike before puro dribble and iso na ang sakit sa mata.

Welcome to IBN, sir. What a time for you to join.

Thank you for the welcome sir

I have been supporting The Philippine Basketball Team since the 2002 Busan Asian Games. I got Lucky I was not able to witness the live game between Philippines and South Korea but believe me I was so sad They Lost to Kazakhstan in the Bronze Medal Game Back then. But now Coach Time Cone and Coach Jhong Uichico has Redeemed their Asian Games Stints as we won the Gold Medal in this Edition of the ASIAD. I guess more people will watch PBA Again Lol! I just Hope Coach Tim Cone would be our permanent Coach for Gilas. Iwan na nya yung Ginebra haha

What a defensive game played by Kouame he definitely a difference maker tonight.

Congratulations to the Gilas and the Philippines. Magbunyi fellow IBN posters, I am happy that we finally survived disappointments and challenges and finally got that elusive Gold medal. Congratulations to everyone, we all deserve this! haha

For tim he didnt even need to go full ginebra (malonzo, cstan and ahanmisi) or go tnt with mikey and castro to win asian games

I hope that one poster here can see that Gilas can actually win with good coaching and GREAT ADJUSTMENTS. It is not impossible for our Men's basketball to win one.

Whats next a win in oqt or be in the playoffs or win the oqt...ultimate goal imo is be the first asian champion in the australia nz flavored Asia Cup?

The best time for kouame to apply for exception is next year in OQT pag asia competition i'm sure it won't be that easy.

Edu played 2nd most minutes last WC after JC... He played 4 and 5 positions... Overall Edu is better.. No disrespect to Kouame... But Edu can play both 4 and 5 positions... Even he make JMF usable last WC (even Kai) is because of him... Against Italy, he played center position, As JMF, Kai and Japeth are unplayable due to match ups...

Edu before his 3 injuries could've been the Pinoy Durant, no disrespect to Japeth. After 3 knee surgeries, he is still very good defensively. But I wouldn't want him banging down low against say Al Dwairi or that stocky Iranian big. Kouame has his own unrepaired knee injury but he can get it repaired once he gets his Euro money.

Edu is good but for all of our sakes I wouldn't risk him banging in the paint the whole game. Even as an NP, I will go with a healthy Kouame, specially if gets to play in Euro league. A Kouame, Edu frontline would be unscoreable. We would need to develop our own SFs and tall SGs though.

Also, Kouame as NP will bring as back to more of Tab's system. We need to get taller perimeter players in the pool.

Still, winning in FIBA Asia is much sweeter than Asian Games... No Lebanon here and Japan not send their best team... FIBA Asia is the real competition... We can win here, Lebanon already proved that Australia can be beaten.... JB still a good player in 2025, Edu, Kai and JMF still a good big man rotation, Just replace ineligibles and old guys for this Asian team roster and we are all set....

We have no chance in OQT... Powerhouse teams such as Spain, Greece w/ Giannis, Lithuania, Latvia, etc... are here, much better we focus on winning FIBA Asia gold medal... We can even match those NBL guys from Australia, assuming Australia will not bring their A team here.... Lebanon already proved that Australia NBL selection is beatable... CTC should be the coach until 2027... And focus being top Asian team in 2027 FIBA WC in Qatar... Put that OQT next year as only preparation for 2027 event...

Brownlee and Ange deserves to play in the Olympics

How? We are not directly qualify for Olympics... Via OQT? No chance!!!! even JB's magic will not save this one against teams like Spain, Greece, Lithuania, LATVIA, ETC... Will JB still good at 2027? We don't know...

What an embarrassment of riches! Winning 2 Basketball Golds within a day of each other.

Today against Jordan and the other day when we inflicted immense Weibo pain on China's population with our own version of a "Pakingshet" game. (for those old enough to remember 2002 Busan).

Damn those Imperialist Filipinos! They conquered and now own Hangzhou!

AHAHAHAHA!

it's been a while since I've posted,

congrats to our Gilas and CTC guiding a team who basically had a 1 week prep. and all the drama leading up to the Asian games.. beating same Jordan team that played in the WC who had months of prep is just a coaching genius..

btw, can't we just celebrate this and stop with this nonsense where was this we can win here comments leading up to the tournament with all the problems during the prep....

it's been 60 years since we won the Asian Games gold in basketball..

Now my concern is can we break that 4 Gold barrier tomorrow? I hope remaining athletes surprise us and win Gold no.5, Let's GO PHL!!!!!
