NETHERLANDS WINS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AFTER BEATING AUSTRALIA 3-1

The Netherlands has reached its six World Cup title which consolidate the Dutch in the top of the World Hockey. Netherlands has demonstrated that they have been the most consistent team during the Tournament winning six matches and drawing just one, against Germany when they were already qualified for the semi-final.

The Dutch entered really motivated and took control of the ball since the first minute but the goals came in the second half. Maartje Paumen scored the first goal in a PC in the 41 minute. Australia restored the parity six minutes later by a PS scored by Rebecca Sanders. Silvia Karres, the top scorer of the World Cup with 6 goals made the second one in the 55 minute. Australia walked lost the rest of the match and received the third one in the 67 minute. Paumen scored a PS and the numerous supporters of the Dutch team got crazy, the Netherlands were a deserved World Champions. Congratulations!!
