Nobody is your enemy in this forum. I have always seen the same things from you guys. It is hard to criticize your team because most of the times you are labelled as an anti-Lithuanian poster. Why would we hate Lithuania? It doesn't make sense. Since this is basketball forum, we will do make our criticisms which are normal. Everyone tells their opinions about NTs and there is no problem but when it comes to Lithuania, they kick up a row. I already don't take serious many Lith posters here.

I somehow don't see any critics for our team. This post is just an insult to us and the fans of our team. And you come to rationalize that you're trying to develop a discussion, when you are the one who is butthurt and doesn't speak about basketball.

Strictly speaking, achieving QF only means you are one of the last 8, but it definitely does not mean you are one of the best 8 teams. You may or may not be, and we won't know that due to competition format. It will be recorded as such, which I guess is fair.

PS. For some reason, I always cheer for Lithuania since childhood, but I probably would have not, if I had been reading some comments at IBN in those days.

Yeah when you right making top8 once it doesnt mean you are in top8 overall.But when you are making like 8 times out to 10 years that top 8,doesnt it mean more ? In 10 years period usually we are making 4 top8,4 top4 and 2 failures.LUCK HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.You can hate as much a you want,but you cant denied that we are one of the most stable national team there is or was in last 25 years.

Change kavaliauskas,sabonis,gailius,lekavicius to Lavrinovic,motiejunas,kleiza,pocius thats wasnt able to play this year and we are not top8 team,we are top 4 team !

This roster most likely made as much as they could,its getting a qoulification ticket to next years.When there were teams like croatia,slovenia,turkey had played with better rosters couldnt do this and will again will have to watch olympics on Tv.We gonna battle next summer for place in OLympiad for the 7 time in 7 trys when we got our country back.

We are the only one country from europe that did this.Not Spain,not France,Not Greece,Not serbia...but that little 3millions people country called Lithuania !

and btw WE ARE STILL STANDING and in this eurobasket too !

When there were teams like croatia,slovenia,turkey,germany had played with full rosters couldnt do this and will again will have to watch olympics on Tv.We gonna battle next summer for place in OLympiad for the 7 times in 7 trys when we got our country back!

Next time watch some basketball and look at rosters before making a comment.

Lol, perhaps you are right. I have watched more than 15 NT european championships and I don't remember with details the performance of every team in every one of them. I express just my personal impression. If it's not the worst, it's one of the worst. In any case, even if it's the 2nd worst performance ever, it makes no big difference. You are disappointing and the enthusiasm of some Lithuanians is strange.

At times it makes me feel that you are not reading carefully what others are writing and come with emotional replies which doesn't has anything to do with what was written before.
Levenspiel clearly was writing about this Eurobasket, our current roster. And it's really arguable thing to say if we performed like top8 team in this tournament till now, impossible to measure. History means nothing here. Moreover, knowing him for years in this board, it's strange to see him called a hater... There are some, who tries to provoke, but Levenspiel is one of the most objective guys around

Our enthusiasm keeps us going. I don't see any reason not to celebrate a victory because it was vs Georgia and not vs Spain.
We have to admit, basketball is changing and the classic basketball powerhouses are going to have hard time in the international arena against so called underdog countries. You would have never thought that Serbia would have so many problems with a country like Finland and won the match only in the last quarter. You would never thought Spain would struggle against Germany facing elimination. And they won only because of a heroic show of Pau, like Mačiulis did for us yesterday.

You saw a lot of European championships, think about it. Every basketball team can play now. If they can't they naturalize players and then they can play.
So, stop labeling the classic labels of the worthy countries and the not worthy.
Underestimating your opponents is very dangerous today.

It's like 2013 all over again. They didn't look any more convincing then, barely getting out of the groups into the playoffs... Yet they took them silver medals.
