Levenspiel the new Nostradamus??
haha, a rare instance I hit the jack pot.
He had I think 6 or 8 points at that stage, but obviously was on a mission. I thought the others would catch-up but he had to do it all by himself.

Sorry for Georgians. They also deserved the QF spot. Foul troubles hurt them a lot. Yeah the Pitbull was so strong.

Never been so nervous about NT since 2012 OQT play-offs game vs Puerto-Rico. ffs. I love you Maciulis (no homo :o), thnx for keeping our Olympic dream alive

Well, it can be said that Maciulis single-handedly beat Georgia in this game, hats off to him. Georgia choked in last quarter, they didn't score like 4 or 5 minutes and had too many TOs, resulting in some easy baskets for Lits. Single bright spot in Georgia was Zaza, he owned JV and Javtokas big time. IMO, playing this way, Lithuania has like 5% chances vs. Italy, and 0,5% chances against (probably) Serbia.

Georgia is a very good team. Very intensive and nice game. Congratulations to both teams.

and that is exactly why Lithuania will feel better playing against Italy than in any games they've played so far - no pressure.

Let basketball decide this. Serbians also have a pathologic eagerness to compare every team to theirs

No pressure?!? You're still Lithuania, one of the greatest teams in European history!

If Bargnani will not play you're favourite... otherwise 50-50.

I love it. I hope the whole team will realize they are the big underdog vs italy... that would probably lead to best basketball in this tournament.

I will say this; i know very well our mentality and mindset. This game was pressure for us,we were favorites,if we loose we dont make Olympics first time in our history.Versus Italy, they are favorites,if we loose we still have hopes about Olympic. When lithuanians are written out on basketball court, than i like the best.Because i know what will be our players mindset in those games :)

Seriously Maciulis was gladiator! I'm not sure even he knew he can single-handedly to rip well played Georgia apart. Phenomenal and historical performance. Respect for Jankunas as well who stepped up for this team and hats of to him. He's on a mission as he wanted to prove something in the NT as well. Great game and I think it's a fist tournament when every single game is a thriller for Lithuania. I agree that since now Lithuania will feel less pressure and you can feel the taste of the blood already. It would be about time to have a complete game.

Our NT is trying very hard to make my hairs grey.
About the game:
1. We played terrible defense - Georgia shot so many open shots. Giving credit to Georgia - i was impressed by their ball movement.
2. Pachulia showed Valanciunas what experience is about + JV couldn't match him physically on defense. Where are these people who were writing we don't need Javtokas - eat your words. On offence all team is guilty, that JV had a bad day. He got no normal passes inside during all game - credit to Georgia coaches, they really explained how to cut our guards from JV.
3. Finally Kazlauskas realized that Seibutis can play PG. One of our biggest problem is Kalnietis shooting, if he would shoot as normal, there would be totally different view.
4. Mačiulis - just wow. What a Warrior. Best game for Lithuanian NT. I will send this game to my computer just to see how he was playing today.
5. Referees can go and f**k themselves, what an ugly referring... They didn't call 2 unsportsman like fouls, not even talking about all other bullshit calls.
6. We are underdogs in quarterfinal against Italy and if JV won't step in and our guards won't start hitting from 3point line we will lose.
7. And again - I will be happy if we will finish in TOP7 this year.
P.S. How could i forget Jankūnas who played really good game and helped Mačiulis.

One way or the other. This is not the same Lithuania we are used to. They didn't beat any formidable opponent so far, and they have had many problems against mediocre teams. But of course they can make it all up in one game against Italy. If the shots will fall they could win. That's what they are betting on.

BTW why is Lithuania the underdog? Almost all Lithuanians argued that Lithuania, unlike Italy, is a medal contender.

Well, maybe, just maybe, it's because we are supposed to meet in semifinal? To who should I compare them?

Really? Show me these people. If i remember correct we were arguing when someone wrote, that we are not even in Top8.

they are playing with our minds. They want us to say that Italy is the better team, then drink the underdog energizer, win and accuse us of underestimating them. :)

Lithuania suddenly turned into a poor underdog team :D Come on man, you are one of the top 5 teams like you were saying this like parrot :D
