Pleasant game yesterday between Lebanon and Yemen? (I am not sure it was Yemen, as I saw a team in the public that had Yemen sweaters)
The first game of a championship is always a little bit harder, but the other team was not bad, and quite honestly I doubt they were all under 18, but their level wasn't bad.
Well from our side, we stole the win in the end, we could have lost it or win it, it was a coin flip.
As for the players:
Costy is run and gun type of PG's (Karl Sarkis meeting Rony Fahed), he can make the difference in one dribble, can know down super shot, but in the same time he is making the wrong fast decision most of the time.
I really like Cyril Massoud, he is a ferocious rebounder, rarely seen a player like him, even in the pro's. He rebound even most of his own shots, the only bad thing (and it's a major thing), he miss the easy under the basket shots, and can manage to score free throws, but if he can improve those, he really could make it in the pro's.
I was surprised by Karim Jadayel, it was the first time I see him play, he didn't have a great match (scoring wise), but he impressed me, he killed himself on every ball playing for the team, he played great defense. I didn't imagine him to be this type of player, I am positively surprised.
Karam Mechref, well he is just like his brother, a little bit shorter, huge heart, but stupid decision a lot of time, he goes in traffic trying to score, he managed to score some, but did miss a lot. If he can calm down he would definitely be a great player, he has a rare capability to penetrate, that our local player lack terribly.
Our centers aren't bad at all physically I like Paul Iskandar, he has a good body, and good basics, will definitely become a basketball player (unlike his brother), Anibal youngster (forgot his name), is quite good actually he grabbed some imprtant rebound, he future should be at the 4 position.
