NCAA season 101

if santos stays, they are even going to be stronger next year. they just need another post player tho.
Buensalida will still be around. They'll be fine haha. I think santos should stay too considering next draft will be in 2027 pa. Im sure he'll always have spot in converge with delta around.

Is denzil good? Sayang naman if san beda rejected denzil.
He played well in the Milcu games I've seen. Of course competition is not the best but he has some good offensive skills. Although yeah, he might struggle with physicality but we'll see. I don't expect him to play a huge role with Gammad and Jimboy returning but he can have a good bench role. In San Beda naman, don't you have guard studs waiting in Behold?

For the past few season, the school's admin doesn't really send students to games unlike other schools. RLs crowd is highly-dependent on alumni support.

Now this is what happens when the team has been playing well...

Sa Finals na lang ako manonood.
Yikes. In my head, one of the things that might make Janti stay is the crowd. But so far, I think he still hasn’t experienced the real intensity of the Red Army correct me if I’m wrong. I wonder what made them stop sending students to watch the games. I guess they just need to reach the finals for him to finally experience that, huh.

San Beda has had some good-sized crowds. I see him enjoying the crowd support.

It's the easiest, and honestly laziest, way to bash.
These scumbags always looking for an excuse for every REd Lions win. San Beda already destroyed the myth of "Asa lang sa import ang San Beda" when they won in 2011 without the late Su DAniel (injured the whole season) vs a still formidable SAn Sebastian with the PInatubo Trio. Then the Letranites came out with another excuse "Chamba lang. HIndi na mauulet." San Beda won the championship again in Season 99 as the 3rd seed with another all pinoy crew led by JAcob Cortez and Yukien Andrada, beating LPU with a twice to win disadvantage in the final 4 and Mapua in the finals after trailing 0-1. As if these are enough for these scumbags, nope. LEtranites are now saying The REd LIons will never 3peat or even 5peat again. UNfvckingbelievable.

Letran alumni seems to have forgotten their basketball history with Fil-Ams. In the 1970s they produced from the Squires and Knights 6 foot forward Gary Young. In the late 1980s big man 6’5” William Johnson. And in the early 2000s from Los Angeles, CA 6’7” Reggie Edwards.

3 peating and 5 in a row is much harder now with the amount of transfers and outgoing

At least in the UAAP you can have an fsa who has a higher chance of staying than a local but you never know.

Anytime you have the chance of moving to the superior league, you take it. And im not even from san beda to realize that.

I hate what the ncaa has become. No fsa's, crap venues, crap production value, questionable ethics from host schools leading to awful formats. Prized recruits and star players getting fleeced in exchange of afterthoughts. Im sorry to say but all of this made the ncaa inferior in every way. The only thing ncaa is proud nowadays of is that its the oldest league in the country...thats it.

Moving to the superior league is not only good for your athletes and sports program, but also for your school as it could boost their 'supposed' dwindling enrollment. Sa optics pa lang na ibibigay ng uaap bawing bawi na kayo. San beda has already achieved all that it can in the ncaa. No use in staying in a second rate league you already lorded over. Time for a new challenge, new rivalries. Time to move on and go further.

Well that's your personal opinion. Maybe CSB is the one that should move to the "superior" league :)

Haha yeah sure we all know how impossible that is right. But if its up to me id rather move csb out of the ncaa. Sabi ko nga mukhang mas okay pa mag ucal at this point.

But going back to san beda, im curious whats making ya'll still want to stay. What else do you want to achieve? Mag 5 peat? Mag 10 peat? Lmao

Well for me what I want if I can have it my way is to just merge the two premiere leagues. Whatever people say about the NCAA, it has proud institutions that has produced great players in the past and up to now. It's stupid that a small country like ours has 2 final fours, 2 finals, a week apart haha

I think its should be more than 2.. ncraa..ncaa south, cesafi should also be highlighted..

Merging the 2 leagues, the logistics of it just makes it impossible. What we need is proper integration of the big dance to crown the national champions.

Anyway yes, the ncaa had its moments, but its a thing in the past. In the last 5 years alone, after the pandemic how many star players has the ncaa produced in the pros exactly? How many have played abroad? How many have been tapped in anyway by gilas?
