Filipino Ballers in the US...News and Updates

this is Nick Hailey, I was wondering if anybody can help me get in contact with any colleges in the Philippines, I would like to play for any of them

how old are you? I think playing in the pbl this year will help you gain stock to play for pba I think sir nardy can help you more in these

Hi Nick, You finished Highschool in 06 right? How old are you now? Maybe you should ask Mr. Nardy to get some infos. Goodluck.

I am 21 years old now. I would like to play in the Philippines. Anywhere, Liga, PBL, College whereever. If anybody can help please let me know.

As he is more willing to join Smart Gilas. . . Christian Standhardinger must be invited in Las Vegas Camp and SBP should shoulder his fares from Nebraska to Vegas. . . paging, Sir Nardy. . .

SBP must hold a try-out for Fil-Am prospects in Vegas the same they did last year. The camp has drawn Fil-AM finds such as Marcio Lassiter and Stanley Pringle. Please take note that Chris Lutz and Jonathan Brick were already discovered earlier. . . . As SBP is shunning invitations to 1 and 2 positions as the present roster of Gilas is overloaded on these positions, they should invite legitimate Fil-Ams in NCAA Div I, Loyola Marymount's Wes Libuit and San Diego State Jason Deutschman, both stands at 6"6". Their stats are not quite impressive given the limited playing time but it could be worth providing them opportunities to show their stuff in the camp. . .

agree +100 sir! and they should take a look also chris banchero!

SBP is firm on their position that they entertain prospects who plays 3, 4 and 5 positions and those players who stands at least 6"6" and above. I don't think they will invite Banchero as they are already locked, overloaded on his position, point guard, off-guard or combo guard. . .

really DeMarcus Cousins? how many percent is he Filipino? Also Ray Parks Jr. already committed to UTEP? as far as i know he was offered a scholarship by UTEP

he's as Fil-am as Gabe Norwood. But sorry it's unlikely USA Basketball would give him his release.

yep, one of US top prospects to play for their national team :)
imagine cousins with standhardinger..hihi :D

anyway, there's no harm in dreaming.. :p

I tried to get him ..... anyways let's just be proud that we have a Filipino who could do great strides in the US NCAA and probably at NBA. Let's be proud of his accomplishments. He's a very nice kid.

so he's 1/4 pinoy... hmm then let's have "lola" call him to play for pinas. :D

he's as Fil-am as Gabe Norwood. But sorry it's unlikely USA Basketball would give him his release and he is now looking for an agent as he'll likely join the NBA Rookie Draft.

So him being a part-Fil is true.. Hope Team USA doesn't have a slot for him and he decides to play for the Philippines..:D nah, kidding..
