i think Spain will win

Pau Gasol will be second player in history with 2 Eurobasket MVP awards, after late great Krešo Ćosić. Respect! :)

And he will draw with Sergei Belov in most appearence at All Tournament Team (with 6).

And he will also draw with Nowitzki and Korac in the second place of Top Scorers of the tournament (3 for each, Gallis is first with 4).

LEGEND

basketball is our religion so of course god is on our side.

Lithuanians are all making sacrifices to Perkūnas, the god of basketball, this evening.

Easy! He simply wants Lithuanians to take a few minutes off from drinking and reproduce themselves to ensure no shortage of bballers in years to come! I know, I know, it's quite the sacrifice but....

;)

Spain is better. It's not only Gasol. Mirotic Llull Rodriguez Reyes are top level players (and I don't even count Rudy). Plus they really want the gold this time and they have one more day to rest.

Hopefully they spend that extra day exploring the many fine bistros in Lille. Were I Lithuanian Coach Kazlauskas, I'd arrange for some tour guides for the Spanish players to help them enjoy everything the city has to offer.

This is going to be the hardest game for Valanciunas ever. 1 on 1 against Pau. One of the best Centers in European history when he retires alongside big men like Sabonis.

i don't have big expectations regarding JV performance, becouse of his nerves. i think Pau will school JV this time....

Well tomorrow will be Jonas Valančiūnas' big chance to demonstrate that he belongs right up there with the best big men in the NBA.

:)

while i admire everything Lithuania has done to get to the finals including beating my pick Serbia it would be wrong at this point for Pau to not get the gold.

So let's cancel the game and give Pau the trophy now then. If he loses then he didn't deserve anything. "Deserving has nothing to do with it". Clint Eastwood in the Unforgiven.

she doesn't even look like typical french chick lol...I'd say that's our blue eyed lithuanian gal right there. Are you trying to pimp our girls to spaniards now so that they have no energy and grit to fight on the court tomorrow?

Well Google said she was French but you know how they lie. In any event, I don't discriminate when it comes to women. I'm willing to employ whatever kind to drain the Spanish team. Hmmmmm, do you think these two might be suitable tour guides for the Spanish fellows?

The right one only with vodka.

Its a bit not fair that Spaniards got three days rest while we got two. Couldn't FIBA even this out somehow like giving Lithuania more practice hours on the court then Spaniards. Don't want to ruin every ones mood but its reality and its legitimate excuse for us. Anyways there can be such thing as to much rest. So we will see. There was interview were Kazlauskas said that Kalnietis is so exhausted and not sure if he will rest fully until the final.

While I agree that Spain are clear favorites, but so were Italy and Serbia. Serbia was considered the best team in the tournament by quite a lot of people up until those people were proven wrong. So I think Lithuania has a decent shot at the title. Maybe something like Spain 70%, Lithuania 30%.

A team would rely on below average big men would become the best tema would be a stretch. Unless other players are mentally tough enough to overcome it. And last game Serbia doesn't have it yet. Maybe a game or two with the same magnitude would make them better..But this eurobasket was already vindication for serbia isn some sorts. France was absolutely better now without Parker and Serbia beat that team. The same team that beat a full strength Spaniard team at their homecourt..

Spain is always dangerous, will be a tough game tonight. I just hope Valanciunas wont look lost like he tends to sometimes, Gasol looks very good in this tournament.

Luigi Lamonica is one of the referees in the final game.
That son of a not so nice lady is finally leaving this game.
Wish him all the worst.

Btw. You know he used to work as ref instructor for spanish federation?
