Mithat Demirel is changing from ALBA Berlin (where he was sports director) to Darüssafaka as General Manager. Two years deal, with option to extend up to five years.
Sad news for ALBA, but he likes to live some years in the country of his parents before his children have to go to school.
Yes, but I doubt he chose the right time :). Besides, he was in Turkey for a few years during his player days. I guess the offer was good.

He can't defend shit, he can't rebound and he carries a very large salary. If they sign him he will be the starter and we will end up with the following lineup:

Mekel
Thompson
Dangubic
Erceg
Sofo

That line up cannot rebound worth a shit, and can't defend shit vs any decent frontcourt. It makes no sense for our system. Having a stretch PF shooter would make sense if we had a dominant center which would clean the boards and then that would open up the room for that. This way, he would just be a huge hole for us on defense and would increase the rebounding problem we have. I would rather have Mitrovic play PF and keep developing him and be more sturdy in the paint, we have enough shooters on the team to have a good threat from the outside. Besides they wanted to give Mitrovic/Tejic duo a lot of minutes at PF. Going for a one year stop gap solution with a veteran overrated shooter, who cannot defend and rebound and disappears in big games, is not the way to go.

sofo erceg cant play together thats true.

Only mad man would bring Erceg and destroy all chances for one of the best european prospects on PF position(Tejic)

Agree. Fenerbahçe will need a PF. Mitrovic then Tejic :))

I am not sure that Mitrovic will be caliber for Fenerbahce. I think that he is pretty overrated. But hope I am wrong, we will see this season.

About Erceg, our president Ninkovic said that we will sign foreign SF, probably from nba. I guess Erceg will back to Galata or maybe PAO.

I like Mitrovic. All he needs is to be tougher

Galatasaray has no space for another tall. I will not be surprised if Obradovic signs with him :S

And what do you think about Keselj? Can he perform too good in practice games? I am strongly thinking we will sign with him after preparations.

There are roumors,Keselj wanted to come back to Red Star but Radonjic didnt want him back,so Keselj hates Radonjic for that...if he is not good enough for Red Star i dont think he would be for FBU,but whatever

I don't think so. His career is going downstream, he is not the same player anymore. But, who knows, maybe Zeljko can make him useful for rotation.

Mitrovic is a polarizing player, with deficiencies but some fundamentals that are on a level much higher than much more famous players. In general he has already put an effort to answer the critics and improve his toughness by adding almost 10kg of muscle in the off-season. I have to say that put a smile on my face. In general he had a lot of trouble defending post-up PF and was usually bullied in those situations, but I didn't see too fundamental flaws in the way he plays defense, just lack of power. He will be more sturdy this year. I don't like him try to stretch more until he gets his shoot even more in shape (even do he did improve last year). The main problem I have with him is his rebounding which is unfortunately below par. It's an issue of feeling for the rebound, being out of position and attacking the boards with intensity. He will be a better player than he was last year for sure, just I am afraid he will never be a top EL prospect player until his rebounding is on a better level.

The one who gets this guy will be the biggest candidate for F4. I am telling you. Greatest combo guard in this list. Sharp shooter, great ball handler and penetrating guard. A man of parts!

I don't know anything. He signed with Valencia, and few years after, he broke the contract.

Tucker vs Valencia - He was ordered to pay them one million back in July.

He played EL last season so included him.

He can play from PG to Center.

Maybe Fener need another Turkish player after Mr Sipahi left? :o
