It was Dennis Rodman playing for the "Bad Boys", Detroit Pistons who gave Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls a hematoma after slamming him against the basket support off of a loose ball in the infamous (for Scottie) “ the migraine game” played during the first of the three-peat championship run of the Bulls.
This was only one of so many, maybe thousands, of untold cruelties inflicted against each other dished out by both teams on the court that have transpired during the drive of the Chicago Bulls to finally wrestle away the championship from the stranglehold of the Pistons of the Eastern conference dominance in the NBA.
Having said that… guess who later played the prime role of power forward for the Bulls in their second three-peat championship run, two years after the first?
Correct!
It was Dennis Rodman... really, basketball version of team chemistry all boils down to players being true professionals and management together with the coaching staff holding all relative personnel accountable for all things positive to the betterment of the team.
J-Wash and Arwind Santos... the two can and should play together, no rocket science involved there, but just the ol' time shield of “professionalism”.
Easily, Jay Washington could perform at peak playing 3 or 4 with relative ease, while Santos can play 2 or 3 with equal proficiency. Not really a problem, but the real problem plaguing the team is really the pig-headedness and monstrous egos of all involved clashing negatively that has so far without the correct or proper upper management intervention have proven disastrous for the team.
I was sick to my stomach having to find Rodman sharing battle scar moments with the invinciBULLS, but hey! Nothing but a few championships in a row could not solve!
Washington and Santos... sure, they should play together because under the circumstances belabored and stressed above, they could!
Now, if Yeo could only play team ball, wow! That’s a thought..... Crisis over!
