Dan Mavraides is a 6'4 guard from Princeton Un. He's born in San Mateo, California. Last three season with Tigers he had a double digit scoring per game (12.7 pts, 4.6 Reb and 2.8 ast per game in his senior season).
I don't know about his greek passport, but his surname is greek, of course!!

He could be the new Pat Calathes...

He is Greek. Don't know how good he is, he was playing for a shitty Uni.

He wouldn't see the light of day in Pao.. he'd be sitting on the bench much like Verginis or wouldnt even be included in the roster except garbage time in A1 games. He can play both 1-2 but he'd get more playing time in another team in Greece much like Bramos who played for Peristeri and was averaging 20 minutes or so. He's not in the same level as Nick Calathes..
 
i am with felix about booki , he is not the type of player (and person) we need .
beside he is 31 yo and his last good season was 3 years ago in eurocup , why do we need a player like this ?
 
Wow, good luck to Real with one of the most overrated coach in Europe... at least he'll work well with the youngsters.

I also agree with the guys. In order to pla a good role, he needs to be the focal point of offense. He is an oversized shooter, mobile but not strong. Doesn't Maccabi already have Pnini and Blu, who perfectly understand their roles and cost together less tha Nachbar? Though Nachbar already playe with another ball dominant guard - Jannero Pargo - it's different to win games for Dynamo against inferior teams and to compete for the EL title. Besides, I don't see being the kind of defender Maccabi needs to hand to replace Eidson. Neither is he a creator. He is purely a scorer. Not even a dead-eye shooter. His only real advantage is being tall and having a large wingspan. Besides, as it was pointed out, he is already 31. He is neither a project who can stay with Maccabi for a longer period of time nor is he someone who should be getting a million for 20 minutes of playing time.

On kosarka.hr now there's news that Real's boss didn't decide yet between Repeša, Pianigiani and Joan Plaza. Apparently he's not satisfied with candidates... It's written that Real will decide next week... Repeša's main advantage is that he's free, Piangiani has 1,5 M buyout, while Plaza costs 700 000...

Great player for the Anatolu Efes! He could complete the PF spot with Gonlum, one prefer inside game and the other outside game, now they have to sign a good SF and C for starting five.
