Why is that?
Unless you support Cibona that is

becaues he is fan of cibona and just like me and see in them political basketball club who robbed evrey team with referinig in games, steeling players from other clubs, singing evrything that knows how to walk destroying with that competition and basketball in general, not giving young players a chance ( ), geting money out of nowere, geting sponsored by state companys.............yup, that is zagreb....but he is bit to subjective and forgets cibona was that for 18 years, and become that again this season when bandic, lovric, antunovic enterd the club....forgets what cikatic who's menager now iz zagreb did same for cibona over the years....and now he is pissed that same club as cibona, but not named cibona is in euroleague, whille cibona is not....especially since zagreb was kinda our little brother....he worked for us, and we gave them love...like that lost game so zagreb could get in adriatic league insted of split...and this is what you get from your brother?...who sold some players, their politicans who worked and washed small money in that club, unlike in our, our guy came with "Stojadin" in town, and wennt out with milions raised on politician scene in croatia, got some croatian basketball federation "dark" menagers and become state and basketball federation project for provisions of transfers and dare to enter in eurolegue over thir biger brother who did so much for them....makes you kind pissed of

well, finaly after 20 years of nothing (yes i'm fan of cibona, but not their policy and people in that club), somebody else got chance...will see what they can do

ali g would say bujakaša

Are you sure that 2 titles makes it second titulated, whatever it means?
It is along the same lines of "roses are red, violet are"...and" tits are two".
Two tits doesn't make the team second in titulation

I said "in Euro competitions", not "in Euroleague competitions"... so it includes also Korac Cup, Intercontinental Cup, etc... ;)

Where will Cantu play their Euroleague games? in Milan? Or ist there a chance to bring 5.000 into NGC Arena?

The new arena will be ready soon so they are trying to obtain a derogation to play in the NGC Arena (4000 attendants) only next year.

Otherwise they'll likely play in Desio or Monza...

What about Chimki? If they win Russian championship, will they go to Euroleague?

Somebody here gave this link: http://www.in-the-game.org/?page_id=13012 and it shows that 3rd place gives ticket to qualies  And nothing about Chimki being 1st.

Chimki goes to finals. I think they can give a fight to CSKA.

1st place in Russia, the same like in Lithuania, gets direct place in EL, club earns B license as league champs for 1 season.
If that table is correct, then you're right, even 3rd team is in qualifiers, cause it's very likely that Barca, MdP, Fener and CSKA will win their champs and situation will be exactly like it's shown there

CSKA has probably an A-license. Unics got it by winning the Eurocup. Khimki has just beaten Unics on the road in game 5 of the semis. If Khimki manages to beat CSKA, Russia will have three teams in the EL next season.

And if they don't and FCB, Siena and Fenerbahçe win their leagues, too.

That is if I read correctly the Qualification System.

Fener is enough actually. FCB and Siena have no influence on Himki's fate.

actually cantu is the most successful team in Europe concerning the ratio presence in finals, towards trophies win.
10 cups in 11 finals (2 euroleague,4 korac,4 cup winners cup).
Btw according several Greek media both Aris & Paok will take place at qualification round.

Take this rumor with a grain of salt... Sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport today wrote Euroleague will likely re-assign the license lost by Rome to Armani Milano... they say 99%...

will treviso play the qualification round...whatever its recent failing italian league must have at least chance of sending 4 teams...milano just hired scariolo, and are investing more money for next year according to gazzetta dello sport, cantu' will be an asset next year, great basketball side, and treviso, if they keep repesa and everyone (except montejunas) will soon return to strength..only the spanish league is better than italy, which in my opinion is still better than greek, russian, adriatic, turkish and baltics leagues....i really think euroleague should expand to 32 teams, level maybe lower for a few years but it can only help deveelopment of euro basketball in future, we need teams like split, podgorica, treviso, etc....if it becomes just a club of pana, oly, cska, maccabi and barca spirit of euroleague will be ruined..but that is what ULEB wants!!!

The reason Milano would get an A license is because if Kobe plays in Europe during the NBA lockout (which he says he will) then he will 100% play for Milano and no other team.

As it stands now, that means Kobe might not even make it past the qualifying round and would have a good chance at not playing in Euroleague. Simple solution, give Milano the A license that fellow Italian side Roma lost and then that assures that Kobe will play in Euroleague.

As far as both PAOK and Aris getting places in the qualifying round, I think that is fair. It was wrong when the Euroleague removed Greece's third place in the regular season for no reason and made it go to the qualifying rounds. Giving the 3rd and 4th teams of Greece places in the qualifying rounds is more fair.

No automatic place in the regular season for the 3rd Greek club, but qualifying round places for both the 3rd and 4th Greek clubs is at least more fair than just a qualifying spot for the 3rd Greek club.

Because it has been proven over the years that the 3rd Greek club deserved to be in the regular season and that place was taken away for no reason. You had Peristeri making the Top 16 and also the playoffs, Aris made the Top 16, AEK made the Top 16, the playoffs, and the Final Four.............Maroussi made the Top 16, PAO and Olympiacos always make at least the Top 16.

Even Panionios, which did not make the Top 16, had victories over clubs like Real Madrid, Partizan, and Efes, showing more quality than is shown by the French and German Euroleague clubs in general, for example.

Maroussi came within 4 points of making the playoffs, and then Greece was stripped of its automatic third place in the Euroleague, which was unfair and unjustified. And the excuses used by fans and the Euroleague, that "Maroussi had no fans", was wrong. They were getting over 5,000 attendance during the Top 16 games.

So, for Euroleague to take away Greece's third place in the regular season... then giving them the 3rd and 4th place teams spots in the qualifying rounds, is more fair than how the current system is.

Greek A1 is still the second best national domestic league in Europe, regardless of some of the nonsense things that are said about it in this forum.

Italy this year had a chance to send more than 4 teams (actually 6 teams were possible) to Euroleague. Siena and Roma had A licenses, 1-3 places in national champ (if not Siena/Roma) goes to Euroleague directly or through qualification, Italian teams also had a chance to win the ULEB Cup. It is 6 teams at best! Was a chance - to get to play-off for Roma, to win a ULEB Cup for Beneton, still a chance to win qualifications for Milano. And next year all these chances remain. I find it fair.
But you are talking not about chances, but about guarantees. I don't think Italy deserves guarantees for 4 places in Euroleague.

Is it official that Aris will be in Euroleague's qualifiers as 4th Greek team?

i mean it would be great with
4 spanish teams
4 italian teams
3 greek teams
2 russian teams
2 lithuanian teams
2 turkish teams
1 slovenia
1 serbia
1 croatia
1 polish
1 french
1 german
1 israeli

and then eight spaces decided by qualification round with maybe 4 more adriatic leage teams, 4th greek, 2nd french and german, 3rd russian, then macedonia, bulgaria, ukraine, czech republic, latvia, switzerland, even britain

that would be a real euroleague, and whule at first the big teams would still dominate, over time the whole basketball scene would improve
