- Just last week in efes pilsen cup there was problemw ith scoreboard
- France vs lebanon, we stopped the game for long time just to change the rim. They made players lose their rythm.

- Today, they play the games at different times. despite the fact that cheating can exist. ALL GAMES SHOULD BE PLAYED AT SAME TIME.

Terrible hosts in turkey. Terrible organization by FIBA. WE EXPECTED MORE!

"Terrible hosts in turkey"

İ think you do not know that Efes Cup was not a part of WC.. LoL.. that's funny :D
yes there was something wrong at the scorebord but we fixed it in Efes Cup..
İt was Efes Cup poblem not hosting about WC..

i think we organize good enough the WC.. i wonder what did you expect more?:D:confused:

Even more..
Players like mehmet okur, dirk nowitzki, tony parker, ginobili, pau gasol and others all missing the tournament lowers the value of the tournament.
Another bad thing for this tournament.

I think he meant in the same group. I think that's possible.

if you have 3 sports complex in every city that are capable to host a basketball match with expected spectators, yes that's possible

Or, if teams could travel around the country just to stop at a city to play tthe match every 24 hours (and with a fixed schedule for that), that could have happened.

Hey.. we've got 4 cities and 4 indoor stadiums :/

I think he meant in the same group. I think that's possible.

That would require 3 big enough arenas in every city. Even if there were 3 big Arenas in Izmir, for example, this would cause inconvenience to the fans, the teams, and the hosts. And organizing 3 games of the same group in 3 different cities is even more complicated and inconvenient for everyone.

Every team in a group plays in the same city and the same venue so how the **** is this possible? :)
Good point. I think FIBA needs to stop making all groups play in the same city then. I understand the difficulty though.

Has there been obvious cheating or intentional losing before though?

You complain too much

And I think Turkey has done a great job with the WC.

USA did in same city  European countries have a problem about that

Scoreboard issues are the most normal of all issues in any tournament. Every Olympic games I can remember had similar issues with their scoreboard systems.

I think Turkey is doing alright, as of now, but is being overshadowed by a number of officiating problems in this forum. It will be a sad memory for this tourney if it continues like this.

Oh come on you guys just dont stop to nag. There has been small problems, yeah. But thats normal and it happens in every kind of tournament.
I'll see how you guys host the asian championship next year!

I don't know if this has to do with FIBA or FIBA TV or the organization and i don't care. I just know that i hate and when i say hate i mean hate some of the camera angles. FFS whose bright idea was it to place the camera behind the basket and film the whole offense from under there all the while the ball is somewhere on the top of the key or god knows where because i don't see it and i sure as hell don't know what is going on on the court.

The other angle is from directly over the basket, you know the one that is usually only in use if refs check if the ball was in the cylinder and if the basket counts. Well someone it seems thinks its smart to film the whole offence from that angle FFS.

Please!! You are calling WC 2010 a terrible organization because someone broke a rim? We all know, we debated this in other thread, the current system of competition turn impossible last day games being played at the same time, for the reasons displayed here.

What a huge problem.. shame on you Turkey!!

USA did in same city  European countries have a problem about that

There was only 16 teams in 2002 (4 groups of 4), so it was possible to do it with only 2 arenas. (and it was done in the previous tournaments)

Most major european cities could do it with this format. (although the arenas would be way smaller than in Indianapolis)

Actually I was pissed off during the scoreboard problem in Brazil-USA game. Luckily it didn't take long, but it mustn't have happened in the first place. It's quite a likely problem for this sport, and apparently the risk analysis was not good enough, the preventive measures were not in place. I really hope somebody has been held accountable for this.

Otherwise, I haven't noticed anything blatantly wrong with the organization.
