Oly plays with to twinners together Klejza + Childress. Only teams like Le Man plays like that. Big clubs don't do it. Big clubs have normal SF and normal PF.

Oly players seemed too arrogant. The players were annoyed and totally out of the game since the second quarter. Unicaja on the other hand made a big surprise and played great.
This is one of those games which prooves that finishing on top of the group in the first stage doesn't really matter. Because teams like Unicaja can finish first and teams like Oly can finish third. When you are in the other group, why fight for the top spot?

PAO got thrashed in the early stages of last season by Barcelona, twice. Doesn't really matter for the big teams what happens now, as long as they qualify on a respectable place for Top16. It only really matters for the smaller ones who are fighting hard for Top16 participation. Many teams' true nature doesn't show before Top16.
Imo, Barca and Montepaschi are clearly in the best early-season form, PAO is probably a team that by nature doesn't show its true colors before the important games take place, and Oly and Real obviously still need a lot of time to gel together.

Nice Demonstration of Fener on how NOT to conceive a 3ptr at the last second to lose/OT a game. Two players jumped on Kangur who just hit one, and denied him of a any possibility of 3pt shot. Nice music to the game Highlights, btw...
Fenerbahçe Ülker was very bad,but Asvel was worse than Fener.I can't understand why Tanjevic isn't giving playing time to Giricek.He was in starting five,played 8 minutes,came to bench and never played rest of the game.Fener won with luck.

Childress and Wafer just are not very good players. I believe Olympiacos has the worst management in Europe. To pay such players what these two make for their level of ability and performance is insane.
Childress is very athletic, he's a versatile and good defender and a nice all around role player. He is also a decent ball handler and solid rebounder. That's it. He's a bad shooter, a bad offensive player, and nothing more than a role player on a serious Euroleague club. For him to be the highest paid player ever in Europe is crazy indeed.
Wafer is a really athletic and explosive player. He's really talented as a scorer. He's also one of the most selfish players of all time and his basketball IQ is very low. Plus he plays no defense at all. His income is maybe even more ridiculous. He should not even be on the roster of a big Euroleague club. He's Prokom or Oldenburg material. He's this year's version of Jannero Pargo.
Olympiacos might have the best owners in Europe but they also have the worst managers and maybe the worst coach.

yes well what you neglect to mention is that OLY and PAO still sell 8000 season tickets, have big TV contracts, numerous sponsors and a great attendence at the EL games.
So even if the owner leaves, they will still have the budget of maccabi. They won t have a 35 M budget, but they ll have a 10 M budget, decent enough to have a very good team.
Oly didn t fall. They just had one or two bad years - they still were a top 16 team - and bounced back.
Just like maccabi , PAO and OLY are institutions in greece. If one rich owner leaves ( kokalis), one other waits at the corner to buy the team (aggelopoulos)!

35M ? May be 70M will be closer to reality.
Anyway, I do not argue with the fact, that Oly is a powerhouse. It is. I just said that there is a big difference between spending your own money, and spending the rich uncle's money
