Pacman needs a new sparing partner so i think pareng wynne could make a sideline and join Pacman in his training, for sure Pareng Wynne will be of great help to the Pacman coz Pacman needs a punching bag!

no no no  Manny might get hurt .... :p :D

[QUOTE Philstar: MANILA, Philippines - Barangay Ginebra will be short-handed minus Mark Caguioa and Eric Menk while Smart Gilas will be without import CJ Giles as they clash today in the KFC PBA Philippine Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.
The Kings have lost Caguioa and Menk to injuries while Giles can’t concentrate on playing with his son seriously ill back home in the US.
Caguioa, who has just returned into action after sitting out the whole 2008-09 campaign, has been advised by his doctors to take at least a week rest as he feels pain in his newly repaired knees. Menk will be out for at least two weeks due to a fractured toe.
“We’ll be undermanned but we’ll find ways to win,” said Ginebra coach Jong Uichico.
“Coach Rajko Toroman and the coaching staff have decided CJ will not play because he’s very bothered (by the news). His status will be day-to-day,” said SBP executive director Noli Eala.
Smart Gilas, playing as guest team in the first round of the Philippine Cup eliminations, also has doubtful starters in Chris Tiu and Rabeh Al-Hussaini.
Meanwhile, the PBA board of governors yesterday expressed concern on the non-appearance of at least three key Smart Gilas players in a game against Talk n Text Wednesday.
PBA commissioner Sonny Barrios said he intends to talk to Eala to relay the league’s concern.
“The board just want to know if there’s a problem, then we can explore other options on how to conduct their games,” said Barrios.
Ginebra seeks to preserve a clean slate, going for a third straight win while Smart Gilas hopes to get into the win-column after losing its first two games to Burger King and Talk n Text.
Alaska Milk also seeks a third win in a row in tangling with Coca-Cola in the 7:30 p.m. main game, succeeding the 5 p.m. tiff between Purefoods and Barako Bull.
The Tigers are likely to play minus Asi Taulava who suffered an ankle sprain in their last game.
The Kings and the Aces currently share the lead with the Talk n Text Tropang Texters and the Sta. Lucia Realtors at 2-0, followed by Purefoods and Barako Bull at 1-1 then San Miguel and Burger King at 1-2. Coke and Smart Gilas share the cellar with Rain or Shine with each one winless in three starts.
The Energy Boosters pulled the rug from under the Tigers, 81-73, while the Giants were beaten by the Kings, 87-95, Sunday.
“We have a new mix, composed mostly of unheralded players looking for recognition. They want to prove they belong in the league,” said Barako Bull coach Leo Isaac.

I am appalled that the PBA Commisioner expressed concern for the absence of Tiu, Giles and Rabeh while he did not expressed any concern on the dirty plays that Burger King did on Smart Gilas. Even the international community have expressed their shock on the brand of play that we displayed in that game. Barrios, apparently, did not find anything wrong in that game.

if they are playing one on one on defense no matter what, they are really experimenting....

it seems that some of the gilas players game have chance right after the flagrant foul given by BK players againts them.

Commish clears Yee in mauling incident

Commish clears Yee in mauling incident

Commish clears Yee in mauling incident
(The Philippine Star) Updated October 24, 2009 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines - PBA commissioner Sonny Barrios said yesterday Mark Yee was not involved in the beating of a PBA fan by Burger King’s Wynne Arboleda during the Whoopers game with the Smart Gilas last Oct. 14 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Barrios said Yee, a league sophomore from San Sebastian-Cavite, didn’t figure in the incident based on the investigation conducted by the pro league.

“Mark Yee is clear of any wrongdoing as the video shows and as what the witnesses say,” Barrios told The STAR.

The PBA commissioner made the statement the day after victim Alain Katigbac formally filed physical injuries charges in court, with Yee included in the charge sheet.

Katigbac filed a nine-page affidavit-complaint before Quezon City assistant prosecutor Rafael Villordon, charging that Arboleda and Yee beat him up.

“That’s outside of our jurisdiction but as the law says suspect is innocent until proven otherwise,” Barrios said.

He added they have reviewed the video tape of the incident leading to their decision to ban Arboleda from playing in the PBA for the rest of the season.

Arboleda, however, said he will appeal the commissioner’s decision and will file a counter-charge against Katigbac.

Reports, however, said there are common friends of the two parties now working to have the case settled amicably.

The PBA commissioner himself is also hoping for an out-of-court settlement of the case.

On the recommendation of Katigbac for a lifetime ban on Arboleda, Barrios said: “I believe we have given Wynne the maximum penalty under the circumstances. I would prefer that an out-of-court settlement be arrived at by the parties concerned.”

Arboleda attacked Katigbac by kicking and punching him as the BK player lost his cool while being jeered by the Smart Gilas fan. – Nelson Beltran

Typo? >_<

More and more, i see a TNT vs. Alaska Finals...

It's because of the balance of talent (and roles) and an established system. i cheer for SMB but i don't think they can go all the way.

We will see.
