I agree. its best to have the Philippines-lebanon practice games held behind closed doors because if philippines lose , some fans will curse again
if philippines play to win, how can they practice their patterns?
By the way, there are filipinos of lebanese/syrian and middle eastern blood ever since the old spanish colonial times and even earlier.
For example, the following filipino families are of lebanese/syrian origin: Ysmael, ,Assad , Hemady , Bichara, Nassr , Karam (later changed to Caram) etc
Congressman Bichara from bicol has lebanese blood.
the Ysmael family(original spelling is Ismail) immigrated long time ago to the philippines during Spanish times. They owned race horses, Steel company, appliance company and a famous dynastic basketball team in the MICAA called Ysmael Steel that was the rival of Yco team. If my memory is correct, the Ysmael's moved their fortune to Australia due to politics.
another lebanese family, Kairuz, also had a basketball team called Kairuz Bicycles that had players from San Beda
When I was growing up in mindanao, I had a lebanese-Visaya girlfriend whose last name was Saab. The Saabs were into lumber and logging, etc
In the 1970s, during the Lebanese civil war, tens of thousands of lebanese fled to live in philippines. I met some of them who moved later to Los Angeles. His dad was lebanese and mom was filipina, and he was a chicks boy with 7 girlfriends. very nice guy. He even offered me one of his chicks
One thing Filipinos have in common with Lebanese is a common history of Diaspora or scattered all over the world. I think there are up to 10 to 15 million lebanese overseas while there are about 10 million filipinos overseas as workers or immigrants.
Lastly, for those who do not read history, Lebanese are of 3 or more major religious faiths: Sunni muslim, Shiite muslim and Christians . They fought each other in the 1970s and at other times. By the way lebanese are very touchy about religion because of their bitter history of civil war so its better not to talk about it in public . Just read about it below but be careful when asking them

And now on the happy and fun side, Lebanese are among the most socially sophisticated in the middle east. They know how to party !!
