there are only 2 so far from China and Korea as posted by Kings, that's the same press release we got here in Cebu

i think this is the tournament that a$$-wipe fake BAP president Pechay is boasting about. It will be held in Cebu, not Manila. I doubt if this is really sanctioned by FIBA. It could be that this has the support of the FIBA -Asia Triad of Carl Meng Kupal, a certain Dato and Graham Crackers Lim

Yeah.... I didn't really know about this so probably this was not organized by SBP-BAP....

I've got some questions regarding this mini-tourney:

-are these two foreign universities big-time schools or known to have good basketball programs in their respective countries?

-are these the unofficial list of participating teams?

-for pinoys: does anybody know how strong Luzon, Southwestern and Angeles teams are?

-for pinoys again: the UV team is the one with Slaughter, right?

SWU is a big team but not well-coached and I think those 6 teams are the final roster of participants. UL has at least 2 players worth watching but that's about it. AUF is quite small but maybe in the level of a USC team. and yeah UV has Slaughter

Angeles Univ. Foundation is very young team, most of the players are new, they are kapampangans that's why they have a lot of big guys, Gascon is their coach, formerly Pampanga Dragons. i think they can match up to the other teams.

You could see that we got four universities representing the Philippines:confused: You got to be kidding. I thought you pick the best student players from all the universities to represent one country. This must be a sham not recognized by FIBA. This post is just a waste of time for me personally.

AUf is not really big. All the serviceable big guys from Pampanga are probably already in Manila schools. AUF's main man is Matt Carney who is about 6'2 maximum and I didn't see guys taller than 6'4 in that lineup
