Thanks a million, guys

Today he played and played well, but the loss was tough and against the worst opponent of the three..

that's all I got to say,
Ben Reis.. just amazing. Tamir Ariely I think is the big suprise of the tournement so far, everybody expected Ben and Carmel Buchman to be the leaders, but he's just saving our ass. Big time,
great win, :]

Fool I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about nor do I care but here is what the order looks like now....

Group E
1. Greece 3 3/0 234/203 6

2. Serbia 3 2/1 244/224 5

3. Lithuania 3 2/1 220/213 5

4. Spain 3 1/2 247/235 4

5. Israel 3 1/2 204/237 4

6. Italy 3 0/3 190/227 3

Group F
1. Croatia 3 3/0 266/227 6

2. Russia 3 2/1 229/206 5

3. France 3 2/1 202/194 5

4. Latvia 3 1/2 221/220 4

5. Turkey 3 1/2 224/241 4

6. Ukraine 3 0/3 190/244 3

It would be really interesting to see:

Croatia vs Serbia semi

and

Greece vs Russia semi

Then Serbia vs Greece final like last year :)

Of course Serbia winning it all.
I don't get why Lithuania has been our weak point this whole time.

We crushed Spain today but let them comeback in 4th and we still won.

Sepa scored 19 out of his 23 points in first quarter! and we were up 42-19 in first quarter.

So, Sepa alone scored as much as the whole Spanish squad in first quarter :)

Napred Srbija.

Then, we crushed Italy badly last time and Greece could barely beat them. Hmm

Ooh and I spoke to Milutinovic and he told me that he injured his hand but it's doing much better now.
This is good because him Dejan Musli and Sepa are our best players. Subotic and Mitrovic are playing exceptionally well too =D

Greece destroyed Serbia..
final score doesn't give you the real picture of the game..
five minutes to go Greece was up by 27 when their coach emptied the bench..
serbians couldn't hit anything for most of the time.. at one period they were 1/16 for three point..
this Pappas guy is really interesting.. nice shooting touch, both today and yesterday looked like a real leader of this Greece team..
phenomenal today was also center Sarikopoulos.. totaly outplayed Musli..
nice movement in both offense and defense, able to rebound defensively and find his offensive rebounding game..
now everything is open..
Lithuania, Spain and Serbia can go through.. Greece already is..
whoever wins tonight between Spain and Lithuania is closest to secure second spot although Lith's are playing Greece tomorrow but since greece bench is quite short I believe their coach will give some rest to his main players..
that could create an opportunity to the liths

some days ago one of the PAO staff declared that they are watching closely the tournament.Especially the greek side where they have 3 years now envelopes about each player condition and development. After todays performance Pappas must be signed from PAO.He is a star of tomorrow.I remind that after Koufos last year he was also shined.
Sloukas and Sarikopoulos have nice potencial too.Especially Sarikopoulos that has nothing to do with the player of last year.He looks like more solid and dominant than ever.
Anyway after the lost of maybe the best or one of the 3 best players of Greek NT Jankovic Greece keeps playing well and seems to go all way long..

I think Oly will sign him and give on loan for six years:D
Like they have done with Seibutis.

Sarikopoulos has improved A LOT in the States, even though he didn't get any playing time at UAB. He looks closer to 2.08 than his listed 2.10 though.
I still believe that the player with the biggest potential in this team is Papanikolaou.

Ehhh oooh well.

You win some. You lose some.

I don't want to see anyboday talking shit because nobody has ever accomplished to win all 4 Gold in youth like we did last year so don't even. :)

We've had some bad luck in these games.
Like the game against Lithuania where we went something like 1/19 for three's ha
And again today. Also, our second best player Milutinovic has been struggling with injury and I have no idea what's wrong with Musli. Hmmm. He was the star of last years competition. Maybe it's because everyone is a year older than him. Idk.

Anyhow, Sepa seems to be promising because no matter how hard they block him he always scores at least 20 :)

you obviously didn't watch the game..
he scored most of his points when the game was over..
he was 2/10 from the field when game was still played by the greeks..
he was hiding from the ball and did nothing really..

I really didn't expect Greece to dominante Serbia like they did today, especially not without Jankovic, who had a great tournament until he got injured. What happened to Serbia? I expected them to be one of the top favs for the Gold, but so far they're playing really inconsistent. Chemistry problems?

After today's victory over Spain it seems, that Lithuania secured a place in semis.
Outstanding performance by Motiejūnas (31+14rb) and Šležas (19+17rb+6ast)

????

So, scoring 19 poitns in first quarter against Spain in the last game was not something spectacular??

----- Unacceptable. JCN. I know you are jelous of Serbs but you'll get over it one day. Try winning a World Championship before you talk please :)

Anyhow, Trifilli...yes you are right.

Milutinovic told me lots of the players are of suffering unusal injuries. They can't find form and there have been some fights in the locker room. The coach is an idiot as well.
So, I wasn't really expecting much of anything from our boys this summer. Good luck to the others :)

Still glad to see Sepa having a couple of good games no matter what the ----- here says.

Obviously you aren't familiar with the term: (SARCASM)

Yes, I thought that word suited you quite well. :)

I hope you know whoever deleted my comment up there that 90% of Croats are proud of being Ustase.

@DelijaZauvjek:
you've got many forums where you can discuss the balkan history and it's numerous versions and interpretations, however not on this forum as any name calling, baiting or other stuff on the nationality principle won't be tolerated.

It's expected for people to discuss basketball here with all nations trying to make some sense and Croat normaly discussing about Serbian basketball as well as Serb normaly discussing about Croatian basketball. So far members of this forum have managed to cope with all that relatively well without many insults or provocations. I'd propose you join them in that.

The Croatians choked again. After a very good start and 4 wins, they lost against Russia and France and are out. Or better said will play for the 5-8th place as we will.

With 73-74 for France. Radosevic and Zubcic missed both FW´s, but they got the offrebound. With 19sec to go Prostran missed a 3-pointer and France won and so secured the 1st place.

Edit: Croatia can still advance, if Lativa beats Russia by more then 1 point.

Greece won Lithuania by 72-54.Quite easy game i think.Greece had all time the lead with 10p+.But i think that Lithuania is the team that Greece will face in the final.
Pappas with 23 p 6rb 5 st 5 as was the man of the match even if his percentages wasnt so good.Papanikolaou,Sloukas and Kaselakis
followed him.

why i have the feeling that some of them look like with some of the Greek NT
for example:D

Kaselakis next Papanikolaou?
Papanikolaou next Fotsis?
Sloukas next Zissis?
Pappas next Spanoulis?
Sarikopoulos next Papadopoulos?(i wish not:D )I think they have some common things each other..

actually, pappas has a hint of zissis, with his mature and smart play. many of the players play very smart and mature for U18, I was impressed!
