Jordan National team succeeded to win a hard game over the american team Athletes In Action (AIA) 67-63 after an overtime in the opener day of the 30th edition of William Jones which is taking place nowadays in Tiwan, The american team came this year with a mixture between experience and fresh youngesters and that provided a good team who made the lead most time of the game but they found themselves behind at the end.

NT's captain Zaid Al Khas (205-C-76, college: Gannon) '17 pts & 9 reb' deserved to be the game's MVP following his huge performance esspecially in the last quarter and the overtime (Scored 2 important 3-pt shots at the end of the OT), Jamal Abu-Shamala (196-G/F-87) was best scorer with 24 pts & 7 reb followed by Al Khas and then Wesam Sous (181-G-83) who made 12 points, Francis Ireifej (186-G-82) who was one of the keys win appeared again in the NT after one year absence and showed.

*frowns* Lebanon and China are both busy preparing for the Olympic qualifier and Olympics, respectively. While we are still under the process of renovating our National Team. In addition, the federations of PHI, LIB, and CHN are also busy with the U18 Asian Championships.

It sucks like this. The only Asian Basketball tournament that sure to be on every tv is the Jones Cup.

Qatar loses to USA 81-67.

USA made 12 out of 37 three point shots, while Qatar only made 1 out of 11.

Kazakhstan is a very good Team .
Thay are young tall and strong ,just like the e EUP Team .
Thay will be better in the future.
But I think thay are not very quick ,and don't have a good PG.

Guys this guy Anton Ponomarev (209-C-88) could be an NBA prospect if he continues improving like he is. He has been playing with the senior national team since he was 16. I think that the Kazakhistani national team can build a great team around him and their progress in the last few years has been quite impressive.

Congratulation to Jordan and hardluck to Kazakhstan

Jordan won above 22 points

Final result
Judging by the result the game must have been pretty bad :x Also tough loss for the Kazakhs, I'm sure they can do a lot better than that.

Lightning strikes twice. Kazakhstan, in last year's Jones Cup, lead as much as twenty when they were facing with Iran. Then later, the tables have turned and Iran pulverizes Kazakhstan with a 10-0 run that gave them a huge marginal win. Don't expect too much from Kazakhstan, it seems that they only score good wins against East Asian Teams (excluding China) while they still have difficulty winning against Middle Eastern Teams.
