Euroleague/EuroCup/EuroChallenge player injuries

Actually, Bouroussis is suffering from a knee injury for quite some time. Not so much as to not being able to play, but enough to not let him play the best he can.

But it was decided not to go ahead with a surgery because he is too valuable for Olympiakos and the time that he would be absent is the most crucial for his team.

Diamantidis twisted his ankle during the game against Roma and he missed the second half of the game.

He will miss tomorrow A1 game against Trikala as well. It will be the first A1 game he will miss since he joined Panathinaikos in 2004! It will be actually the second game he will miss in his career in PAO, he missed 1 Euroleague game last year due to the flu, so this will be the first one due to an injury.

True iron man!

D'Or Fischer was attacked today around 3:00 AM in one of Tel Aviv night clubs : he's 'moderate' injured ( head & face cuts ) and now undergoes surgery in Ichilov clinic

All the chances he won't play against Albe.

Who attacks a 2,13m, 120kg basketball player???

I suppose You've heard about the romanian handball player Marian Cosma stabbed to death in a disco brawl at the beginning of February.
211 cm and 113 kg ...

Is this the night club, where last year's American PG got into problems with those Ethiopians ? Seems like a hot spot for trouble...
Fisher has been cut in the face and a nerve has been damaged...

Fisher succesfully underwent surgery. The surgeon who made surgery said that Fisher can hardly smile and shut one eye. He will stay in hospital for few days more. He will be able to play bball after couple of week and he will be fully recovered after 3-6 months

Nope, Bynum got his troubles in hip-hop club G-Spot and not with Ethiopians, but with Black Hebrews - they're Afro-Americans as Bynum himself.

Details about Fischer's story:

It was @ 3:30 AM in Tel Aviv Mandy's restaurant : Fischer was there with his father and some friend, later they were joined by Tre Simmons.

They got drunk and started some sort of insults exchange with other drunken guys: Israelis from near table .

Security of the place got tired of this and thrown Simmons , Fisher & the other guys from the place to cool down.

Apparently the folks started their brawl just after leaving the restaurant : it looks like Simmons continued to trade insults and Fischer tried to separate them ... In the end one of the guys throw a broken glass bottle in Fisher direction : Fischer got injured .

What a bad luck for Maccabi to lose its best player because of some drunk brawl

What a stupid thing to do by Fisher (getting drunk and into fights). He's supposed to be a professional athlete and he's getting paid alot for it. Doesn't he know that his team needs him the most especially during this time of season.
Is Maccabi going to take any further measures against him?

It's not like our foreigners here in Lebanon act in a much better manner, but we haven't been seeing such cases recently cuz the teams r taking serious measures against their players (By the way Lee Nailon who previously played with Bnei Hasharon is currently playing with the current Lebanese Champion (Al Riyadi) ).

I doubt any kind of disciplinary measures against Fisher by his club. It is supposed to stay by its player, when he is going through such hard times.
