Americans PEVERTING history

Just watch this video about Dominique Wilkins and specifically watch at 3:58 where the show Dominique Wilkins making a shot which they rename as a "Buzzer"...

"Dominique Wilkins hits the buzzer, Panathinaikos are European Champions!!!"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttWb7749kjc

this is really what happened

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFFGPfvs00c

Like I have been saying here, they do this kind of thing constantly. Outright blatant lies like this. I keep saying it and instead of European fans wondering about it I get insults and mocking posts and people act like I am some kind of nutcase or liar or they say stupid things like "prove it or you are a LIAR".

Americans = propagandists
Europeans = naive

I guess?:rolleyes:

It's Fox Sports, and Beyond the Glory at that. If you're shocked that they added drama into one of their biographies that wasn't there, you've clearly never watched the show before. (Really once is enough most times) :p

On another note I'll never get the outrage people show when you call someone from the United States an American. United Statesian just sounds awkward.

talking about things made up...:rolleyes:
The actual phrase was "a wild finish at the buzzer, panathiniakos are the European club champions..."
Who said that shot had anything to do with the victory?

Rewatching it now, and yeah I got to agree. The first shot was to establish that Dominique was part of the team and in the game, and then the next was to show Panathiakos went on to win. It's quick editing, and a bit misleading but not 'perverting history'.

That was pure propaganda and creative editing. Anyone who did not know better would then be convinced that title was won by a Wilkins buzzer beater.

Americans.

Aaawww, you perverter of history you.

How about yankee (scum, (scum being optional)) or even gringo?

Hell, Id settle for Negro lover, Imperialists pig, In denial, Cynic or Delusional economical girly man.

how should we call someone form Usa then?.

Citizen of the USA, a USA citizen, or maybe, just maybe by the individuals own name.

I prefer economical girly man with a touch of Delusional sprinkled on top though.

Its Fox, there is nothing they would not tamper with.

Nothing.

Ever.

You, Master, is obviously just a girly man and awkward at that.

I'd come up with a witty response, but when you say 'negro lover' as derogatory it would probably go over your head in any case. Quickest ignore I've done in ages. :D

FoxSports is just awful. Besides the fact that they @#$% up every single Cavs broadcast by preempting games for NHL hockey from Columbus, they have no good sports commentary. None. Their "best" show has John Salley and some other idiots watching pictures of girls in bikinis.

This is a pretty clear example of journalistic "freedom" on the part of an awful show that sensationalizes everything. The show is like bad gossip magazine.

Unfortunately, it's still on the air, so people are watching it and people probably believe Wilkins was the hero of '96.

Sure, Sure, that's because all Americans are stupid and absolutely cannot make any original research of their own what so ever. Damm those lake taho guys...:D
The only "lies" are in this thread are at the starting post.

"Wild finish at the buzzer, Panathinaikos are european champions." - No, they surely didn't intend to connect that. :D

When they'll cut a video about Brandon Jennings in twenty years, and they wrongfully say he won the cup with Lottomatica on a Jennings buzzerbeater while showing a jumpshot 2:37 into the Euroleague group game against TAU with the whole crowd burying their heads in their hands because he had actually made a jumpshot [it'll look as if he had just beaten the home team at the buzzer!], I'm pretty sure someone here will tell us that the film had nothing to do with commentary and that they were only referring to a coffee cup he won on the club's christmas tombola.

Excuse me for that sarcastic attack. :cool: ;)
