2013 PBA Commisioners Cup

is my eyes playing with me or is tv5 skipping some plays after the time out prioritizing some ads? I prefer the interaktv coverage as of now.

of course, tv5 will milk this for all its worth. its not everyday you get ginebra in the finals. they have great ratings for the pba. I'm sure pba owners are very happy with all the ads$$$

Luigi Trillo is schooling Alfrancis Chua.

I wonder if games would have been closer if Siot Tanquingcen is still the head coach of the Gin Kings.

maybe ginebra needs motivation to win. I guess twice to beat disadvantage is already easy for them so they spot alaska a 2-0 lead, thrice to beat:p

Not motivation but extra time to recollect themselves, one tough series after another has exhausted BGK's key players LA and Vernon. IMO when I saw everyone in BGK chucking bricks after bricks in game one as well as being less paskey in defense, it was a clear indication that their main guys were exhausted, makes me wonder why Chua hasnt started to give more minutes to guys like Maierhofer,Labagala, Taha and Espiritu.

no rest for the weary. game 3 is on sunday, if they lose, they can have a long vacation except for tenorio. they don't have the players to beat alaska. they lack bigs. alaska can easily shutdown macklin, and no, an injury for him is no excuse

Is V-Mack injured? There was a play where he had a clear lane to the basket on a fastbreak with just a sidestep and one or two dribbles but he opted to pass out.

Anyway, another basketball clinic conducted by the Aces. Kudos to coach Luigi. It almost makes me forget his super-irritating coño accent.

This current Alaska team really resembles that Alaska dynasty in the 90's, the 1996 Grand Slam team.

Trillo = Tim Cone
Abueva = Sean Chambers
Thoss = Bong Hawkins
Dozier = Poch Junio
Casio = Johnny A
Baguio = Jet Cariaso
Dela Cruz = Jolas
Hontiveros = Roel Gomez
Jazul = Jun Reyes
Espinas= Kevin Ramas
Belasco = Bachmann
Laure = Castelo
Ramos = Giovanni Pineda
Eman = Cris Bolado

Gotta give it to the guy, he's receiving a lot since last conference but he never complained. Well to be fair that's what he wants.

That foul could easily be ff2 tho, it seemed like a punch.

"You got to learn how to take it as well as you dish it out". He's doing it.

That's my favorite comparison. Jumbo Eman! :D

Anak ng..0-2. Ginebra is overmatched. Two games in this series and they will trail 20 plus points. Alaska's game plan let Macklin bleed for his points tapos ang boxing. Ginebra has no other capable bigs aside from an old Kerby Raymundo.

Sucky Ginebra. I thought going to the bathroom during halftime would help. Tae pa din! It's like I was watching the replay of game 1.

I say I this point even a miracle can't help Ginebra.

Dennis Pineda ( team Delta) was among the crowd at MOA....he was there to support his player....must be mighty proud of calvin. A friend of mine who also plays for team delta said Calvin is a very nice guy off the court. Even when he was playing at the arena during his Ncaa days. He always had that smile when approached by fans. Maangas lang talaga sa court. Im a hoop junkie since the 80s and its been quite a long time since the last time i really followed a player. Though fundamentally unsound...poor shooting form and wild a lot of times. What makes him special is his supreme confidence in himself. Tibay ng dibdib. Plus his endless energy is unmatch. The irony here is his style is perfect for a team like Ginebra. During their series against San Mig, he totally destroyed Joe devance inside. Did you guys see how he out hustled 2 or 3 guys tonight? That is how every pro should play the game. Im a petron fan but man, Noli eala should send a game tape of Abueva to his senoritos. Guys like santos, jaywash and all these weak a@#% players should be ashamed of themselves. Lesson to be learned also by Noli....hindi porke magaling hakutin lahat. Bravo Abueva!

Can we now say that Abueva is the Best Player of the Conference? And to think that before draft day many posters here have picked Hodge and Ellis to be ahead of Abueva. It is now impossible for Ginebra to comeback and win the series. Ginebra was just fortunate to be in the Finals.

Alaska did a wonderful job in the offseason. Trading away Tenorio for Casio and drafting Calvin Abueva.

Ironic, the fan hate abueva for being a dirty player but so far in this playoffs aside from his pesky defense and overcelebration which annoys the fans (and flops of course) he never gave a hard foul iirc (there's james yap's accusation of hitting his back which for me is still just an accusation at best). On the other hand the other team is giving and getting away with a lot of headshots
