After the first day of games, the 2019 NCAA Softball Tournament, also known as the Women’s College World Series, continues today with more regional play. You can see the latest results in our updated printable below.

The NCAA College Softball World Series Bracket for 2019

Referred in shorthand as WCWS, the College World Series tournament bracket isn’t so straightforward as a some tournaments are. The Women’s Softball tournament works like this. The format is formed by two 4-team double-elimination brackets. The winners that come out of each one of those brackets then will come together to compete in a best-of-three series. Yeah that’s a little hard to follow and due to that involved format, the tournament bracket is quite complicated. Take a look at the official bracket below:

The winners of those best-of-three regional series keep playing to determine the WCWS National Champion. That WCWS championship will take place at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The College World Series Tournament Bracket for 2019

We’re not going to leave you with that CVS receipt of a tournament bracket, that’s not what we do at Interbasket. So we found the following bracket that’s in a more traditional bracket form. Still, you’ll need to be aware of the specific comings and goings of all the rounds that come with the WCWS bracket.

The Florida State Seminoles come into the tournament as the defending national champions from the 2018 tourney. Though the FSU Seminoles had a great season, they only played well enough during the year to earned the #4 seed in the 2019 tournament, but as with most all college tournaments, that doesn’t diminish their chances. They hosted their regional round in Tallahassee.

With a 49-2 record, the overall No. 1 seed are the Oklahoma Sooners whom began their tournament by defeating #12 seeded UMBC in Norman, Oklahoma.

The tournament week officially kicked with the DI softball tournament selection show which aired on Sunday, May 12 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and the first games started on May 17th in several regional plays around the nation. The winners of their regional play will move onto the Super Regionals.
