NCAA Women’s Volleyball Bracket & Seeds

December just started, and some of the best NCAA sports events are going to be under the spotlight for quite a while. The NCAA Women’s Volleyball Bracket was announced two days ago on Dec 1st. The 64 teams will compete to know which one is the best in this amazing championship that will pass as one of the fastest of the NCAA sports events.

Similar to the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship, this tournament also has an interesting 64-team single-elimination bracket to make things much more interesting.

As is is the last several years, 32 teams (half of the total amount) were handpicked to have an automatic seat at the bracket through seeding. The top 16 of these 32 teams are also the ones hosting the first and second rounds. Those teams are:

America East Albany
American Athletic UCF
Atlantic Coast Pitt
Atlantic 10 Dayton
Atlantic Sun Kennesaw State
Big East St. John’s
Big Sky Northern Colorado
Big South Winthrop
Big Ten Wisconsin
Big 12 Texas
Big West Hawaii
Colonial Towson
Conference USA Western Kentucky
Horizon Northern Kentucky
Ivy Princeton
MAC Ball State
MAAC Fairfield
MEAC Howard
Missouri Valley Illinois State
Mountain West Colorado State
Northeast Sacred Heart
Ohio Valley SE Missouri State
Pac-12 Stanford
Patriot American
SEC Kentucky
SoCon Samford
Southland Stephen F. Austin
SWAC Alabama State
Summit Denver
Sun Belt Texas State
WAC New Mexico State
West Coast San Diego

Of these automatic bids, the top four seeded teams in the NCAA field is Baylor at #1, Pittsburgh at #2, defending champions Stanford ranked third overall and Texas at fourth, so if you’re looking to put some money down on the college volleyball championships, you can do so using this Betrivers PA promo code and then choosing one of the top seeds, your Alma Mater, or another team you think has the best chances of bringing home the trophy.

Last year, Stanford defeated Nebraska in the NCAA final claiming their eighth national championship in the university’s history.

This year’s field is joined by another 32 teams that were chosen thanks to their participation during the qualification phase on their conferences. Another rule, equal to the one used in the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship, is that pairing is done taking into account geographical proximity. This pairs the closest teams together, with the exception of those teams within the same confederation that won’t face each other during the first two rounds.
