Which Conferences get Automatic Qualifiers to the Tournament?

There are 16 teams in the NCAA Hockey tournament. The champions from Atlantic Hockey, the Big Ten, CCHA, ECAC, Hockey East and NCHC are automatic qualifiers. The ten at-large spots get determined by the PairWise rankings. This works pretty smoothly for US College Hockey, so we’ll have to see if the NCAA adopts it for March Madness. You know what would be interesting for future tournaments?  Adding Canadian colleges and Universities into the Frozen Four. That would make the tourney a lot more competitive and wagering and casino free spins Canada would be financially beneficial to the NCAA and Canadian Association of Hockey. Until then, we’re locked into strong teams from the Northeast and Midwestern United States.
