March Madness Bracket Revealed for 2025 Tournament

Alright alright alright, the wait is over—the 2025 March Madness field is officially set. Selection Sunday delivered its usual mix of excitement, debate, and heartbreak, as top teams secured prime spots while others found themselves left out. The 2025 NCAA Tournament brackets for both the men’s and women’s tournaments have been unveiled, locking in 68 teams ready to battle for college basketball’s biggest prize.

We’ve already gifted you a free, blank March Madness bracket, but now we have all the teams (whether you agree with them or not) and a fully populated field of college programs you can see below:

Men’s No. 1 Seeds: A Strong SEC Presence

The men’s tournament sees Auburn (South), Duke (East), Houston (Midwest), and Florida (West) taking the coveted No. 1 seeds. The SEC dominated the selections, setting a record with 14 of its 16 teams making the tournament—breaking the previous mark of 11 set by the 2011 Big East way more than we predicted a few days ago. Each No. 1 seed earned its place with impressive seasons:

  • Auburn—Despite stumbling late in the season, the Tigers’ overall resume held strong, securing them the top overall seed.
  • Duke—Led by star freshman Cooper Flagg, the Blue Devils aim for a deep run, though his recent ankle injury raises some concerns.
  • Florida—The Gators are back among the elite, though SEC rivals Alabama and Tennessee were close contenders for a top seed.
  • Houston—The Cougars have been a dominant force all year, needing only a solid showing in the Big 12 Tournament to maintain their ranking.

SNUBS: Who Got In, Who Got Left Out?

The last at-large spot went to North Carolina, a decision that stirred plenty of debate. Despite a 1-12 record in Quad 1 games, the Tar Heels snuck in over teams like West Virginia, Indiana, and Boise State, who were left heartbroken on the bubble. According to Yahoo Sports, these are March Madness’ biggest snubs of 2025:

  • West Virginia—Despite key early-season wins, their late-season slump and Big 12 Tournament exit proved costly.
  • Indiana—An impressive late-season push wasn’t enough to overcome midseason struggles.
  • Boise State—A strong Mountain West campaign was undone by one bad loss in November and one to Colorado—a harsh reality of March Madness selection.

Let’s not get into how North Carolina got it – we definitely counted them out and we’re definitely feeling a type of way this morning that another smaller, non-Blue Blood program would get a chance to make March Madness memories instead of the Tarheels adding to their Sweet 16 trophy wall.
