Our sixty-four tournament team printable brackets were created with 64 teams in mind as well as single-elimination and six complete rounds of exciting games that will boil down to one champion. Our blank tournament brackets are not only printable, but come in blind draw and seeded; the latter of which can be edits and filled out.

Why a 64-Team Bracket?

The most famous 64 team bracket is the round that kicks off March Madness, otherwise known as the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament

As we’ve preached, we recommend capping tournaments at one of the following number of participating teams: 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, or 128 teams. We didn’t choose these numbers of teams arbitrarily, we did so because there would be no additional decisions that needs to be made after initial seedings — stay tuned for more on that.

In a 64-team field, half the teams are eliminated at each round up until there’s only one undefeated team remaining.

Another way of looking at the 64-team bracket is the 64-32-16-8-4-2-1 format. The numbers not only refer to the amount of games that will be played in the single-elimination format, but the indicates how many rounds of play there will be (5) before crowning the undefeated tournament champion.

How do I Seed 64 Teams?

With 64 teams, you will seed each team from the best team (#1 seed) to lowest seed (#16 seed) at all quandrants of the bracket. It’s essentially a 16-team bracket times four sections of your large, single-elimination bracket. We created a table to help you visualize the seeds:

First Round Seeding: 64 Team Bracket
High Seed vs. Low Seed
Seed #1 vs. Seed #16
Seed #2 vs. Seed #15
Seed #3 vs. Seed #14
Seed #4 vs. Seed #13
Seed #5 vs. Seed #12
Seed #6 vs. Seed #11
Seed #7 vs. Seed #10
Seed #8 vs. Seed #9

As we mentioned, you will seed this exactly like this four times.
