The Washington Wizards later acquired draft rights to Seraphin from the Bulls, but who is Kevin Seraphin?

Seraphin was the first international player chosen in this year’s draft and presently plays for France’s Cholet-based professional basketball club, Cholet Basket, in the LNB (Ligue Nationale de Basketball).

Reputed for his envious combination of stature, strength, and agility, Kevin Seraphin has been receiving rave accolades for his game. This 20-year-old French player, with his impressive 6’9” and 265-lb frame has shown some remarkable game instincts, which have earned admiration and respect from both fans and experts.

Kevin Seraphin: Background
A native French Guianese, Seraphin was born on the 7th of December,1989, and has been into the game of basketball since his 15th year.

It was Jean-Francois Martin, coach of the junior team of the Cholet Basket, who discovered Seraphin. Seraphin’s skills and strategies have gradually developed with every game. He delivered a strong performance in the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship of 2009, and has evolved to assume expanded game responsibilities for the Cholet.

Some of Serpahin’s strongest traits include his powerful offensive moves in the low blocks.

Seraphin’s tough strength serves to his advantage enabling him to secure the best post position. He has smart post moves, which enable him to present the best offense. His ability to gauge defenses and their moves is quick, which helps him act before they have a chance to obstruct his attack.

He has nimble foot movements in the post are just remarkable providing him with an easy way to reach the rim and manages to surprise defenders with his excellent counter moves and is dexterous with both his hands.

Seraphin’s defensive skills are also well-honed.

However, even though skilled on both sides of the court, there is still significant room for improvement to his games on the defensive and offensive front for this 20-year old player.
