Nash, Nowitzki, Bogut, Gasol named All-NBA
Four international players were named to the All-NBA teams this year.

None were named to the first team. Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki were each named to the all-NBA second team while Pau Gasol and Andrew Bogut were honored with third team selections.
This was the second time Nash has been named to the All-NBA second team; the 6-3 Canadian has made the All-NBA teams six times – first, second, and third teams equally. The 36-year old Nash tallied 16.5 points and 11 assists this season for the Phoenix Suns.
The two times Nash was named to the first team, he was also named MVP in those seasons.
With this year’s selection to the second team, Dirk Nowitzki has now been named to ten consecutive All-NBA teams – four times on the first team, four times on the second team, and the third team twice. Nowitzki averaged 25 points and 7.7 rebounds this season.
Dirk has spent his entire 12-year career with the Dallas Mavericks.
This is only Pau Gasol‘s second selection. The 7-0 frontcourt player for the Los Angeles Lakers was also selected third team last season. Gasol averaged a double-double for the Lakers this season with 18.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 blocks in 65 games for the Lakers.
Andrew Bogut had a breakout year before breaking his arm after a freak fall off a fast break dunk. The 7-0 Aussie anchored the middle for the surprising Milwaukee Bucks this season and pulled in 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks.
Other international players receiving votes for All-NBA honors were Al Horford, Atlanta, 19; Manu Ginobili, San Antonio, and Tony Parker San Antonio, 1.
