We haven’t had one in a while so it’s overdue. In our Pic of the Day, Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks dunks against the Detroit Pistons on March 13, 2010 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Looks like Horford totally caught Ben Gordon by surprise. The NBA is such a fast-paced game, it’s difficult to catch such experienced players off guard, but this dunk apparently did and the photographer (Getty) caught it. (Discuss the NBA in our forum)

Horford finished the game with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists as the Hawks won handily over the Pistons 112-99. Horford is a first time all-star with the Atlanta Hawks and has scorerd in double figures in 21 consecutive games.  On the season Horford is averaging 14.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 blocks – as well as being the team-leader in double-doubles with 20 (tied with Josh Smith).
