Without any interest from NBA teams, Ricky Davis has moved on to Turkey and will join Türk Telekom.

The addition of the 6-7 guard/forward strengthens Telekom for the most important battles of the season with the acquisition of a 30-year-old.

During his 12-year NBA career, Davis played for six different teams – Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Minnesotta Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers.

His best NBA season was in 2002-03 with the pre-LeBron James Cleveland Cavs when Davis averaged 20.6 points and 5.5 assists per game.

In nine out of twelve seasons in NBA Ricky Davis averaged more than 11 points per game. The 2.01m tall guard-forward also participated in 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest and finished 4th.

Turk Telekom is currently 5th in the Turkish league with 11-9 record. The things are not so good for the Turkish side in European competitions as they lie at the bottom of Group L in Eurocup’s Last 16 and are already eliminated with one game left to play.

The main aim now is the Turkish league title.

The move comes after Turkish team Bornova had signed troubled player Tyler Smith from U.S. college team Tennessee.
