Rubio turned in his best performance of the EuroLeague campaign for Barcelona on Thursday against Montepashi Siena while Ramunas Siskauskas showed why everyone in Lithuania wants him to come out of international retirement to play at the 2010 FIBA World Championship after helping fire CSKA Moscow past Caja Laboral.

Spain national team point guard Rubio had 14 points, 10 assists and four steals – all seasons highs – as Barca remained unbeaten in Europe by defeating fellow heavyweights Montepaschi, 85-70.

“I think we won it with our very good defense,” said Barcelona’s Slovenia national team center Erazem Lorbek. “We played well, above all Ricky Rubio.”

Siskauskas, meanwhile, scored 21 points, pulled down seven rebounds, dished out four assists and came up with four steals for CSKA in an 84-83 victory over Caja Laboral. The triumph clinched first place in Group C for CSKA (8-2) over Caja Laboral (7-3).
