FIBA Europe names 16 Player of the Year nominees
The 2009 European Player of the Year nominees have been announced by FIBA Europe and the list includes the likes of Pau Gasol, Erazem Lorbek, Dirk Nowitzki, Hedo Türkoğlu, Novica Veličković, Juan Carlos Navarro, and Nikola Peković (vote now).
The 16 nominees are below:

- Marcin Gortat (Poland, Orlando Magic)
- Miloš Teodosić (Serbia, Olympiakos)
- Nikola Peković (Montenegro, Panathinaikos)
