Is Allen Iverson going to sign with Knicks?

Allen Iverson, who was recently waived by the Memphis Grizzlies because of disagreements over playing time, is being rumored to be signing with the New York Knicks.

Iverson doesn’t clear waivers until 6 pm tonight, so that means up until 6pm today, any NBA team can claim him with his current salary that he agreed on with Memphis.

However, if no teams claim him off the waiver wires, Iverson will be free to sign with any team for any amount of money.

The New York Knicks have been filling the interwebs with the prospect (both positive and negative ) of signing the disgruntled, 34-year old, former NBA MVP.

The Knicks need offense, but they also need a player willing to pass the ball, and not as a third-option. Iverson would be a band-aid for the Knicks problems, but he would be only a temporary option and wouldn’t last more than one or two seasons.

Are the Knicks willing to take on Iverson at the possible problems with chemistry and development of players like Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Nate Robinson?

Stranger things have happened.
