I would be remiss not to have some mention about Michael Jordan after his enshrinement into the Basketball Hall of Fame yesterday.

Jordan is arguably the best basketball player EVER, no matter what country you live in, no matter who is in your top-three all-time, Michael Jordan is in that conversation.

Jordan wasn’t just any basketball player, he is revered for his competitiveness, and how beautiful that fire translated on the court.  Michael Jordan was poetry in motion; #23 flew through the air, turned, twisted, adjusted, double-pumped, threw it up behind his head with reverse spin, etc.

And despite all that extra, Jordan exceeded expectations. Even when Jordan missed one of his circus shots, fans were so accustomed to seeing him convert those impossible moves that they were surprised that it didn’t go in.
