We’re less than a day away from the biggest international tournament of the year, the 2009 European Championships of Basketball, otherwise known as Eurobasket.

All sixteen teams are in action on the first day.

16:30: Group A: Greece vs. F.Y.R. of Macedonia
16:30: Group B: Russia vs. Latvia
18:15: Group D: Poland vs. Bulgaria
18:15: Group C: Great Britain vs. Slovenia
19:15: Group A: Croatia vs. Israel
19:15: Group B: Germany vs. France
21:00: Group C: Serbia vs. Spain
21:15: Group D: Turkey vs. Lithuania

Great Britain has already once upset Slovenia during a prepation friendly game, we’ll see how Slovenia responds today in their rematch.  The penultimate game, Serbia and Spain will be interesting to see, but the most intriguing game may be the final match of the day, Turkey taking on Lithuania.
