Report: Ricky Rubio saga over; will play in Barcelona

The Ricky Rubio saga may have finally come to an end.

At least until 2011.

Ricky Rubio, the Minnesota Timberwolves first-round draft pick, and #5 pick overall, won’t be playing in the NBA until at least 2011, according to sources who talked to ESPN.com today.

According to ESPN, Rubio and the Minnesota Timberwolves were informed late Monday night in Spain that Rubio’s former club, DKV Joventut, had agreed to trade his rights to another Spanish Club, FC Barcelona.

Rubio will not be able to get out of his Barcelona contract until 2011.
