Interbasket

Hi everyone–

This morning, Friday July 11th around 11:30am PST USA… Interbasket’s forum was taken down by my host due to excessive CPU usage.  Threads, posts and all information are safe — rest assured–  the forum was being taken down because it was becoming unstable.

Please be patient.  We are working on diagnosing the problem and getting the board back up as soon as possible.  If you are totally fiending for bball discussion, check out and join the IBN Facebook group and post there for a bit TBN’s Facebook Group

12:30am (July 12) PST USA: Site times out, but comes back up.

8:34pm PST USA: FORUM is alive and running again… Click here!

8:23pm PST USA: Contacted software in which I obtained the license for the forum.

6:40pm PST USA: Confirmed safety of backups.

6:05pm PST USA: Officially contracting outside services for help now… if you have experience with Vbulletin software, web development and think you can assist me, please send an email to news (at) interbasket - below are some of the problems my host is telling me:

Specifically, a large number of processes belonging to your username were running and this was using a lot of CPU on the server.  It seems to have been a sudden increase in usage.  It wasn’t isolated to one script from what he could tell, but since the processes were causing severe issues to your server, it had to be disabled.  Now, you’ll need to carefully examine your software’s configuration to see if there is any definite steps you can take to prevent its processes from using up a large amount of server resources and state exactly what you’re going to do and it must be done before the domain can be enabled again

4:41pm PST USA: It seems as several scripts are causing issue with the site and really using up a lot of resources.  I am still trying to determine the exact issue (hard to do while at work), but I will keep you updated.  Please remain patient… it’s tearing me up also.   -Stuart

3:26pm PST USA: Please continue being patient, I’ve submitted several support-tickets and am working to getting the site back up.

11:57am PST USA: We apparently are getting a huge amount of visitors and traffic on our forum today, so much that our host had to shut the forum down so it didn’t affect the other sites on our servers — we are taking a look at it right now and doing our best to remedy the problem.

We had to disable forums.interbasket.net, today as it was causing excessive load on the server you’re housed on. Unfortunately, we cannot allow any one customer to utilize the entire server’s available resources as it causes stability issues with the server.

It is our priority to get the discussion forum up as soon as possible.  Please stay patient and check back here for updates throughout the day….!!!
