Kobe Bryant guarding Yao Ming | Pic of the Day

Today’s pic of the day could have easily come yesterday; I really wanted to use today’s photo on yesterday’s post about the Rockets upsetting the Los Angeles Lakers in game one of the Western Conference Semifinals of the 2009 NBA Playoffs, but this photo is pretty cool so I thought it deserved it’s own post.

During the game, the 6-6 shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant found himself guarding the Houston’s 7-6 Chinese center Yao Ming

Even though Yao isn’t on the court, the size differential between the two players are still significant.  The force of Yao receiving the ball can be seen in Bryant’s posture and how high Kobe’s neck is craned upward.  Game two between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets will be played later today.
