Anderson Varejao mocks LeBron (twice), gets elbowed by Ray Allen

Anderson Varejao has had a busy week.

LeBron James‘ teammate Varejao added to his repertoire of flailing, offensive rebounding and getting under the skin of opponents.

The 6-10 Brazilian has taken to making fun of the Cavs’ all-world superstar.  First, Varejao put “CHOSEN 2″ on his back with permanent marker mocking Lebron’s “CHOSEN 1″ that is tattooed on his back (see image below).

A week or so later, with LeBron on the bench in street clothes, Varejao put his take on LeBron’s pre-game ritual of filling his hands with chalk and throwing it into the air.  Check out the video the the NBA’s Facebook video page.

Then in one of the Cavs’ last regular season games, Anderson Varejao had thrown Ray Allen on the ground after being tangled up.  Varejao got under the skin of Allen so much that the Celtics’ star elbowed Varejao in the groin as he got up.

“It was a dirty play,” Allen said. “He threw me to the ground. He wrapped my arm and threw me to the ground, and I wasn’t going to do whatever he wanted.  The move earned Ray Allen a one-game suspension. ”(Allen) doesn’t like Brazilians or maybe he doesn’t like my hair… You don’t hit a man in his (groin area). But I’m OK” said Varejao after the incident.
