Casspi played a season-high 37 minutes, scored a career-high 22 points on a career-high 16 field goal attempts. He also shot 9 free-throws, in which he converted 8 of the attempts – both were also career-highs.
Midway through the third quarter, Casspi was joined by fellow international players Andrés Nocioni, Sergio Rodriguez, and Beno Udrih as the foursome (with Jason Thompson and Spencer Hawes) went on 16-4 run, turning a 76-73 deficit into an 89-80 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Casspi has also seemed to cure his free-throw woes. Though his season percentage is still just 55%, and despite having two games where he missed both his attempts, the 6-9 forward from Yavne, Israel has hit 68% in the last seven games.
All this talk of career-highs, look for Casspi to continue setting career marks as he becomes more and more comfortable in the Sacramento system.
