DKV Joventut hits ACB record 19 three-pointers

DKV Joventut logoDKV Joventut hit a Spanish league record 19 three-pointers in defeating Murcia 83-73 in an overtime win.

Joventut made one more three pointer than the previous mark of 18 held by three teams, Joventut, Barcelona and Fuenlabrad.

Two players converted more than half of the shots for Joventut; Kristaps Valters of Latvia hit 6 of 9 attempts for Jovetut and Uroš Tripković of Serbia hit 5-9.

The other contributors to the ACB record were Luka Bogdanović (3/7), Clay Tucker (3/9), David Jelinek (1/3) and Pere Tomàs (1/3). Together the team attempted 40 shots from beyond the three point arc, and converted nearly half (47.5%).

The NBA record for the most three point field goals in a game occurred when the Toronto Raptors hit 21 threes in a game vs. the Philadelphia 76ers on March 13, 2005.
