Reggiana has taken a 3:2 lead in the best of seven series against Sassari in the Italian League playoff finals. Both teams have eliminated the top seeded Emporio Armani an Venezia in seven games in the semi finals, and it seems like the champion will be decided in seven games as well.

Reggiana played great team basketball in game 5 and all the players on the team managed to score, even Darius Lavrinovic who played only four minutes. Latvian international Silins Ojars led the team with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while one of the youngest players on the squad Polonara Achille recorded a double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Olaseni Shane Lawal had a monster game for Sassari with 17 points and 21 rebounds. The series goes to Sassari and it is most likely that we’ll see one more game after this because the home team has been dominant throughout the whole playoffs.
