Boomers Stifle Tall Blacks 79-67.

The Australian National Team defeated the Tall Blacks today 79-67 in the Oceania Championships, bringing the Boomers one game away from qualifying for the 2008 Olympics. The Aussies used stifling defense to pull out the win.  Leading the Boomers offensive attack was center and Euroleague star David Andersen with 20 points, Sam Mackinnon had 18 while Glen Saville chipped in 16. The Tall Blacks were led by Kirk Penney’s 20 points.  Originally posted 08/20/2007
