2013 Sprite Slam Dunk Field Released-The six dunkers who will compete in this year’s Sprite Slam Dunk contest at the All-Star game in Houston have been revealed and they are: Gerald Green, Terrence Ross and James White from the Eastern Conference, and Eric Bledsoe, Jeremy Evans, Kenneth Faried from the West (NBA.com).

Heat Players Suffering from the Flu-Unfortunately, it’s flu season in South Beach. Several Miami Heat players came down with the flu this week causing Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Ray Allen to miss Friday morning’s shootaround. Head coach Erik Spoelstra said that Allen will likely sit out Friday night’s game against the Clippers, but that Wade and Bosh would be game-time decisions (ESPN).

Kevin Garnett Says He Will Retire as a Celtic-Kevin Garnett recently squashed trade rumors that started swirling over the last couple of weeks, saying “”On a last note, I just want to say that I love my situation here. I don’t know what y’all sources or whoever’s making up these bull—- — articles about me getting traded to Denver and all these other places. But I bleed green, and I continue to do that. And if it’s up to me, then I’m going to retire a Celtic.” Since Garnett has a no-trade clause in his contract, he will stay in Boston if he wishes, which it looks like he does (CBS Sports).

Mavs Make No-Shave Pact Until They Reach .500-The struggling Dallas Mavericks have made an agreement as a team to not shave until they reach a win-loss record of .500. Apparently, the no-shave pact is the kind of motivation the guys in Dallas truly need. It could be a hairy couple of months because Dallas is currently seven games behind the mark (Fox Sports).
